I have no problem with effort or our character.
Guys played their *** off imo.
Just really bad offensive performance from every payer.
First time in a few years Cliff was a complete zero with no impact in the paint….none!!!
That can’t be
Indescribable

I feel about Rutgers Basketball about the same way I feel about the New York Jets. They aren't good. But they aren't bad. They are just an average team that will generally play to the level of their opponent. And there are seemingly a handful of (obvious?) things that they could fix easily that would propel them a step higher, but it's the same (obvious?) things that have been a problem for years, and there appears to be no effort to fix them - so I'm not going to lose sleep over it. Generally, I'm just kinda glad we're competitive now and not getting blown out game after game after game. Maybe I'll feel differently in another year or two.

Rutgers again shows why they will never be a serious contender for anything. Cliff might as well have stayed in the dorm room he was non-existent in a big game at home. Pike should have kept the freshman in for him. They can’t hold on to a rebound or make a shot when it matters most. No pure scorer on this team.

Did RU reach 20 turnovers?

Cam needs a PG with quickness and speed that can drive to the basket, draw defenders and kick out for him to knock down uncontested shots. Simpson needs to be on the court.

RU offensive performance was fugly.

GO RU

McConnell's 2nd 5 turnover game (Miami was the other). So tough to watch him consistently try to do more than he is capable of on offense.

How many fade aways by RU tonight?

Love the teams defense. Wasted a gem tonight.

all of the good stuff we ran against ohio state was nonexistent tonight. credit hall for their d but we didn’t even attempt to run anything. How many times did we (paul mostly) just dribble to the corner with no plan. wtf is that? playing into their hands

You could put a comma after horrific and it would also be accurate.

The offensive flaws were evident since the Temple game. There are no replacements for Baker and Harper at crunch time. The performance of Paul and Caleb is very disappointing because they are the seniors on the team and there were too many turnovers committed by Rutgers. There was no bench scoring once again.Scoring only 43 points is simply mind boggling. The fans had little impact becuase of Rutgers scoring droughts.

Here's the offense.....

Mulcahy.....dribble, dribble, dribble......dribble.....dribble into the right baseline......stop.......look for help.....throw ball away.

Next possession.......dribble, dribble......slow dribble......no passes or movement, try and low percentage pass.......turnover.

This team has no chance to win games with Mulcahy dominating the ball for 20 out of the 30 seconds of the shot clock.......

It is amazing how a coaching staff sits on players who can play and score and somehow believe that you can win games 55-52.

The starting of Mag over Hyatt is insanity. If you take away Hyatts 3 3 pointers, RU doesn't reach 40 points.

Paul is not a great PG. Although that could be a function of the non offense this team runs under Pike.

Dribble the ball into oblivion, can’t beat teams off the dribble and get into the lane, don’t run anything to get shooters open.

Game set offensive basketball back 45 years. Ooph.

Guards never recognized that SHU managed to take away the passing lanes to Cliff. Cliff never realized it was dunk or get blocked.

Could of got 3 point looks just didn't go down my. Ooph. Painful display.

In the post game radio interview Pike said they didn’t share the ball the way they usually do. Got to think Mulcahy over dribbling was one of the things he’s referring to.

Paul should be way to smart to allow SHU to force him to the base line and use it as a 6th defender

There is no go to offensive on this team. It was a brutal display. Credit to SHU, they were the better team. PIke needs to recruit some offense.

The staff has to make serious adjustments.

Simpson simply needs 25 to 28 minutes a game......Mulcahy was put under pressure from the backcourt to the front court, wasting valuable time on the shot clock. Pass the ball forward to another player and start moving.

I don't understand how if you plan to start Cam Spencer, how a great FT shooter, cannot find his way to the Free Throw line. Can the staff get something out of a stationary player, who cannot generate his own shot??

Mag is a good defensive player. He is not a starter, under any circumstances. I don't understand the fascination here.....is he a hustling team player?? YES.......but you have no chance to reach 60 points, unless you start Hyatt and let him take 11 to 13 shots a game.

There's no possible way, Mulcahy should stay as a PG full time. He's better off on the wing, where he can create off the ball and be a spot up shooter from the corner or wings. The only player capable of generating anything off a drive and kick is Simpson.

I won't get into Cliff.....he is still learning how to play individual offense, that doesn't require speed and quickness. There's no patience to his offense, he is still learning how to play. I don't see any chance he should be leaving college after this season, his offense needs a lot of work.

Onto Wake Forest and a staff is going to choke on its own pride or make basic basketball adjustments......SHU did nothing but allow RU to let Mulcahy dribble out every possession.
