OSU has the 4th rated offense by KenPom, but only the 70th rated defense. I'm not sure we can uphold the same defensive intensity away from the RAC, and I can't pick us to beat a good Big Ten team on the road -- especially at OSU where we've never won -- until we actually do it this year.

Hope I'm wrong and the Scarlet Knights clamp down on this young Buckeye team.

does Simpson start over Cam with Mulcahy? it's headed that way.

put Simpson on their freshman Thornton, who can shoot. Mulcahy on McNeil. Caleb on Sueing, who is not their best shooter, but def their glue guy.

I think 1 of 2 things happen

1. Paul tells Pike he has no problem coming off the bench. For now that’s what happens
2. Pike asks Mag to come to his office. He tells Mag how much his hard work is appreciated and that he is invaluable. He tells Mag that he and Simpson are going to give the team a spark off the bench early in games. Also tells him the obvious….what matters is who finishes games.

I think as long as Paul is healthy he starts Thursday. Particularly since this is a
road game

Agreed. First B1G road game, I don't see Simpson starting over a healthy Paul. But he will get plenty of chances to contribute off the bench. I think it's Paul, Cam, Caleb, Mag, and Cliff. There's more of a chance of Mag/Hyatt flipping to get a better 3Pt shooter on the floor to start IMO.

Looking at Ohio State's results to date, their offense is playing great and we've never won there. It feels like it would be an upset for us to win there this week. But upsets can happen.

Tough one between Mag and Hyatt.
Hyatt’s first halves have been good, but what if Pike wants to start the game with shocking smothering D, that’s where Mag needs to be in there, he’s awesome on the full court press and still getting back to defend the post and rebound

didnt we shoot well from the line at Indiana last year? I particularly remember Cliff and Hyatt knocking down some real clutch ones in last couple minutes.
I was joking, but I don’t know how we did overall at IU last year other than those guys being clutch. I will say this, I like our chances at the line this year more than in past years.

Would be shocked to see Paul off the bench

Simpson is the perfect off the bench energy and scoring spark. That role is perfect for him as a freshman. For now at least

I would keep Cam in the starting lineup for the simple reason Im worried Simpson will try too hard as a starter (he will feel pressure to produce).
So tough to predict us winning in a place we've never won.
