Well, you all know I am a Dean advocate, BUT he’s not been up to par, trying to find his shot, role, etc.

What if we shake it up with this starting lineup.
Cliff
Dean
Caleb
Cam
Paul/Derrick

See what he does. Mag and Hyatt have had a chance. Give Dean his minutes. Can ALWAYS bring those guys in if he’s not cutting it.

Nothing to lose, IMO. Just my opinion. Thoughts?

No. If this team is going to succeed it will be through defense first and his defense is worse than both those guys. He was also awful vs. Miami.

So Caleb just covers all five guys on the other team? Sounds like a plan…

Reiber got 7 minutes vs Miami, 5 minutes vs Temple.
It's hard to imagine him getting more than 10 minutes PT, much less starting.
What could he have possibly done in the last few practices to earn a starting spot?

Dean isn’t playing starter mins because the other players are significantly better on defense. It’s just not close. Dean isn't aggressive. He often gets beat, pushed around and doesn’t have a competitive fire. It’s just that simple. I like his game but he isn’t getting more minutes unless he steps up on D.

I think Dean is getting the message but he still does not display the aggression and toughness that Coach needs out of him on the defensive end and on the boards. Also, he is slow laterally and can be taken to the bucket from the perimeter. I am rooting for the kid as I root for all of our kids but he needs to take it up another notch or two if he wants to be a major rotation guy.

Start? I think it should take foul trouble or another injury to even get him in the rotation. He’s been in a daze.

No. No need to shake up the line-up just yet. Hyatt and Mag weren't horrible. Keep the same line-up as last game and if Paul returns, put either Hyatt or Mag on the bench (depending on match-ups).
