Schiano has always struggled vs hurry up.

That’s what I was saying in the defense thread. Not just for us but for the B10 in general. The only consistent open and faster pace offense is OSU. Maryland and Purdue aren’t as consistent and can make mistakes. IU probably below them. I think that skews a little how bad B12 defenses may seem in the rankings and how good B10 defense may be as well.

Uphill battle now, gonna need some sudden change plays.

First game live during Schiano 2.0 … sitting in Row 2 behind the Indiana bench … they are pretty small … stadium is empty (maybe 15k here) … down 14-0 … Indiana players laughing it up … team can’t tackle and looks slow and sluggish … like they don’t want to be there.

Playcalling and bad team

Obviously points are the be all / end all, but SG’s biggest failing was the third and longs. We don’t have passing QBs, we can’t pass block, and our receivers are OK at best. We don’t convert third and long, and we had a lot of third and long TOs.

If we score a lot of points Nunz is a hero, if he is putting this team in third and makeables, given the personnel’s strengths and weaknesses, he’s doing his job
