WOW. They’re 6-0 after beating NC State today. Hopefully we come out of the rebuild in a couple years and have similar results!

And we aren’t. You know why? Because we can’t recruit, we don’t have good coaches, and this program is literally doomed.

Happy for Syracuse and the losers on this board who are obsessed with them.

actually don't care what the fruit do or don't , only if Rutgers is effected somehow.
Every little bit of success by any and every programs are used to point fingers.
Seems to me most of the Orange obsession is because of how their site has some members obsessed with everything Rutgers.

As for RU can't do nothing, did you feel that way last post season ???

And now Cuse has lapped us. Can't wait til Greg builds this program the right way via his 5-6 year strategy. Good thing he's taking his time, because the more time he takes, the more amazing we'll be. Heck let's just give him 8 years until we become partially relevant!

We obviously have a brilliant coach - wait until every other college football fan around the country realizes what we all already know.

It’s human nature . We see other programs having success . And wonder why we haven’t had a team we could be proud of in 16 years. That’s why many here enjoy UConn’s misery

Seems like we beat the Cuse a long time ago now. But it wasn’t that long ago. Hard to be happy with the direction of the program right now, hopefully things change soon.

Wait, who are the losers ? Most of you are. You are Charlie Brown thinking next time will be different. But no, in year 3 we already know what 2.0’s legacy will be.

I’m a Dino fan but I think it’s important to let people know this is year 7 at Cuse and 4 of them have had losing records and 5 of 6 years he’s had a losing ACC record.

but in those 16 years there were time that the fanbase wasn't ashamed of the program, just disappointed ( mad even) that it didn't live up to the expectations RU fans set for the program.
The constant minor bowl appearances weren't acceptable, BCS bowls were expected
That was Schiano's fault for giving RU fans a program that brought on big dreams from the one that only gave nightmares.
After Greg left , nightmares again.
But now Schiano is expected to make RU into the type of program RU fans expected after the 2006 season and never received
So an instant ( not ASAP, but a right now) sweet dream is expected and times up for many who say it must be now or you're a failure..

The loser mentality of looking at other programs as role modles has returned to the U fanbase and that won't leave until RU is considered a contender .

I think you are over analyzing this . The simple and accurate logic is this : the program has stunk for years . It’s been a complete embarrassment . We see other programs have success and we think we should too. We are a good university in the BIG. Why not us ? Just stop stinking Is what many want.

Both SU and UI head coaches have offense backgrounds, of course, as does Tenn, Clemson, Ohio State, Michigan, PSU and I could keep going. Except for Bama and Georgia, the top teams almost always hire that way. It’s just the game now.

But no, the big fat oblivious strikeout will set us back a decade.

15 players just from FL - more from GA, TX, SC, NC
SU hitting southern states pretty well
South barely exists at RU

I feel program has been an embarrassment a long time ago and in recent years, but or a long time was a respectable one that didn't become the type of program the fans expected of it and branded that era a failure like before and after.
When hope isn't obtained the crowd rebels and claims to have been misled.
Rutgers gave hope in 2006 and greatness was expected for the future.
Now the winning years have become an embarrsment because fans feel mislead because the greatness expected back in the winning years was never reached and the present isn't looking like greatness is coming this season and the worry that next year might not be any better has clowds hovering over the program instead of the sunny sky hiring Schiano was expected to bring instantly

why not us you ask ? Isn’t it obvious? We hired a coach who was fired three times since he left here )including once before even being hired). In what galaxy would this seem like a good hire ? No one should be surprised how this is working out.

5 more years . Utterly Fantastic.

What winning years ??? We have been awful pretty much every year the last 10 seasons . 2013 to present (save for 2014).
2008 and the papa John’s bowl was a long time ago. 2006 was even longer .
Program has stunk .

By the time he gets the program to respectability a third of the fans including myself may be too old to recognize it even happened but that’s ok bring in another run an gun QB to run a pro set or offensive lineman who are good run blockers but can’t protect the QB when in pass protection, you can’t make this stuff up.

I used your 2006 reference ( And wonder why we haven’t had a team we could be proud of in 16 years) as the bases of my reply to you.
So when you imply Rutgers has been a loser since then, I implied RU wasn't a loser for some of the years after 2006, it just didn't win enough and go to the bowl games the fans wanted to see RU in and the minor bowls invited o weren't something that could be bragged about.
Before 2005 Ru was an embarrassment, after 2010 the same could be said , even though a bowl game was obtained in 2012,2013 & 2014 a lot of fans were still embarrassed and the bowl last year was because of academics.
Being in position to be invited didn't make fans satisfied..
This is the 3rd year of Greg2, so I won't panic that instant gradifiction hasn't come my way and won't be embarrassed because it hasn't

Pretty sure we beat cuse if we played them. At least it would be 50/50. So not worried about them "passing" us. Some of you guys need to chill out
Haha where do our fans get this stuff? Because you somehow surmise we'd beat Syracuse this year, we shouldn't care about Schiano's strong aptitude as a failing coach pretty much everywhere he's been, being last in the big ten right now, not winning a home b1g game since before covid, being significantly worse than our so-called peer Maryland, and having the worst recruiting class in the conference so far this year. Yeah - relaxing is what is required to fix all this. Glad you figured it out.

The significance of Syracuse, or Illinois, being ranked has nothing to do with who would beat who this year. We beat Syracuse last year. It's that you don't need OSU-level facilities and a war chest of $10 million in NIL money to be competitive and get ranked 15 to 25. I doubt either of those teams is loaded with talent compared to us.
