Thank for all of the advice leading up to the game! My kids had a blast and it was a great setup for tailgating and pregame activities. Everyone was awesome and probably met a number of you as we talked to a load of people at the tailgates and on the Boardwalk. Good Luck the rest of the year and will definitely be back for another game. You guys are fun *** people to drink with.

And only one fight in the stands, that I saw.

Which I did not start. Just sayin.

Who did start it? Who won? What Kung-Fu styles did the antagonists employ?

C'mon, man. You can't just tease us like that.

It may have started when the Husker fan in front of me took a swing at the Rutgers fan who was standing in front of him (and as such, was standing in the aisle that goes around the stadium in front of Row 11).

It quickly dissolved into hurled epithets - in spite of the fact that I had said Huskers fan in a full Nelson, from behind, and thus exposed him to easy attack.

Such is life.

Drinking is how we get through the games.

So glad you enjoyed. I talked to a number of Husker fans (Including the lone guy who showed up to my tailgate, looking for me by name becasue he had been shopping in Scarlet Fever and the owner told him to come look for me because I'd certainly let him tailgate with me) . Everyone was having a blast and were impressed with not only the tailgate scene but the Boardwalk as well.
I even ended up talking to the parents of the Boerkirche brothers. They were very much enjoying themselves pre-game.

I wonder where we stack up in terms of tailgate scene. I’ve always thought our setup is top half of the B1G

I met a woman when we were out at Ohio State who came to our tailgate the next year. She said she had traveled all across the country going to Big Ten football games and that we had one of the best tailgate scenes she had ever been part of.
We are very blessed in that our tailgate lots are very close to the stadium.

I thought that Penn State and Michigan had good tailgate scenes but our tailgates are far superior to Ohio State or Nebraska

Not Big 10, but Army presents an interesting dichotomy. Season tickets holders are close to the stadium and have excellent though reserved (no out of control drunks) tailgating. Visitors and single game ticket holders are out in the boondocks.

That’s amazing! Getting referrals from SF because he knew you wouldn’t disappoint! 😂

Of course, the Yellow lot IS better. But it's possible that Steve didn't want our guests to be overwhelmed.
True, love my Yellow Lot and the DOT driveway home. The funny thing is that fan wouldn’t have been turned away at any of our tailgates.

When I went out to the Ohio State game, I actually had a great time wandering through the town adjacent to the stadium, with all the students milling around between bars and outdoor eating places, and so forth. Had some great food, drank some good drinks, etc.

It was a very different experience than the traditional parking-lot oriented tailgating in one of our large lots for sure. But I didn't see it as worse (or better). Just different.

Everybody Loves us because they usually leave with a W
I've heard pretty good things about our tailgating scene even from fans whose teams lost to us.

We don't have the climate of the southern state tailgates through the Winter. But we do have a lot of fun-loving people at our tailgates, almost always willing to help each other out, laugh together and so forth. We have our Jersey-style senses of highly sarcastic humor which I personally think is a big selling point.

Agree. And we’re not even that good, which makes it even more impressive.

Because I have been taking my kids to about 50% of the away games I go to, your setup is #1 for families. Just the Boardwalk and the overall great people at your tailgates. Just awesome.

Penn State and Wisconsin were some pretty awesome tailgating spots, but a total different vibe. Bigger dicks for fans, but the party level and level of intoxication was higher, but not a chance in hell I'd have a good time with my kids there.

Minnesota - blows, OSU was meh, Iowa is fun, but we also play them on Thanksgiving so it tones it down, Illinois was boring, NW & Maryland not existent, so yeah, I'd rate you guys pretty damn high. Haven't been to any of the Michigan schools yet.

Our people would be much greater if we would win a B1G home game. Like over the top great. We'll park your car for you, warm it up before you leave, and buy you a tailgate spread. Can you pass that on to your coaches?
