He up by 49 points in the 4th Quarter and he decided to do a fake put that cost a personal foul and ejection from the game . Schiano was all up in Ryan day face for that move .

You do realize it wasn't a designed fake punt right? Schiano also went heavy to try to block the punt and it backfired.

This one play epitomizes Schiano's lack of awareness and football intelligence. He's simply a less than mediocre coach.
Nope, zero excuse when you up 49 to 10 in the 4thQ with what 7 minutes to go

It's hard to understand that you can't see it wasn't a designed fake. But I can't help you with that.

Yep I'm a serious Rutgers fan, which is why I know we need a better coach than GS. You should feel the same if you actually care about this program.

I like that Schiano, who’s 13 years older than Day, was ready to kick his *** in defense of his team and their dignity

It was Schiano with the cheap move. He was playing to the last whistle and got burned.
What cheap move did Greg make? He came over to help separate the players after Cruickshank's blatant late hit and Day was yelling at some RU player and Greg started yelling back. No idea what was said, but didn't look like a cheap move. Also, even if Greg did come over to yell at Day, it would be understandable, as he had no time to digest the play and certainly couldn't see that it didn't look like a called fake. I think that's why they had a coridal (if not warm) exchange after the game - I'm sure by that point Greg knew it wasn't a called fake and Day said as much in the post-game interview.

We have very warped fans who can't see reality. Last week when we were down 3 TDs to Iowa someone said our team was hanging in with Iowa. It's no wonder some of them saw all the 7-5 seasons last time around and thought they were almost NCs.

First Schiano shouldn't going for an ill advised power block formation without anyone covering the punter. Second it was the Rutgers player who made the the bad hit out of bounds. Last no head coach should ever be running completely across to the other teams sideline to confront the other Head Coach when it was you that made a terrible play call. He was wasn't there to protect his players. He was there to yell at Day. Stupidity all around

You don’t do that period. Ohio state just moved up on the List of most hated. Bunch of jerks. Ryan day was hated before this game now he is really hated. No class will root against them in the playoffs.
It can only be explained to you, not understood for you. The defense gifted it. Literally gave it away. Then followed it up with a cheap shot on a punter.
Sorry it hurt your feelings though.

And who ultimately has authority to green light that? You really think players just do whatever they want out there? I'm starting to think you know nothing about football.

Watch the replay more closely - he was there to separate the players and Day was yelling at an RU player and Greg then started yelling. Also, it's quite possible one of the guys on the end missed an assignment to contain - I have zero issue going with a block call. And even if Greg was yelling about the fake punt, there's no way in real time from ground level way across the field that he could have known it wasn't a called fake - that was only clear from replay at a higher angle, which he hadn't seen yet.

Rewatch the hit and try and understand what you're watching without emotion. It's about a yd. out of bounds and our PR is trying to slow down turning his back to the punter on the hit. Personal foul yes, flagrant and ejection, no way. That was the emotion of the refs on that call. Our AD will petition league offices for review of the ejection and he will be playing in the 1st half of the Nebraska game.

Geez last week it the Iowa coach calling RU facilities cozy and this weeks it’s this. The only thing we seem to be good at is getting our feelings hurt.
how about not losing by 30+ points yet again to a school that’s supposed to be our peer.

Disagree - was flagrant. He had plenty of time to pull up and didn't.

You don't have a clue, no experience with institutional losing.

We're sick of it.

Whether this was a planned fake or improvised, we need to use this as a learning experience: be ready at all times, Period.

Hope we can take a lead against Nebby in the first half despite no AC

No, it was not a designed play, aka a fake punt. The punter saw an open field in front of him and did what he was trained to do, ran for a first down. Now, should the coaches have told him to just punt the ball? Probably, but I bet it didn't occur to them before the play.

You need to understand the situation of the game.
