I made some inquiries and was told that it is not properly fitted from many perspectives to do high definition tv. Also, when this happens there will be more than one location, hence there is little chance that Prudential would be the sole home of Rutgers basketball. Also,a prominent promoter really wants Rutgers-UConn at UBS next December.

Multiple locations is probably worse unless they're very very on top on making sure students know where each game is and bussing then there.

I would hope that they would have the shuttles fired up.

@RU72 - it’s interesting that you’re hearing this. One of my best friends is an extremely good source for athletics dept news and he’s told me that if a renovation were to take place it wouldn’t impact the season where we’d be playing most of our home games away. A big reason being sponsorship agreements and such. He also told me that there is a still a variation of the plan that would call for the construction of a new arena right in front of the RAC. Not saying you’re wrong but there is conflicting info out there and I trust my friend for reasons I can’t go into.

For a one-off, I would check out the new arena. Train station should be done by then.

It's a pay day against a marquee opponent. It's not like we're playing once at UBS and once at UConn. Basically just look at it as if we were playing them in any pre-season tournament

Why there and not Newark or msg

Its not convenient at all

The Mohegan game isn’t anything especially good. It’s just better than the usual garbage we’re served.

Ship has long since sailed but we should’ve been in one of the many quality November or December tournaments with R. Harper or G. Baker. All the other good Big Ten teams do it.

Ever see that LIVE safari show from Africa?

Not properly "fitted" for HD TV? WTH? Make it work. It can be done. Maybe their "kit" for most basketball arenas assumes certain lenses and certain lighting.... use new kit.. make it work!

What about Princeton? Maybe we can make a deal for Jadwin gym use. Nah.. they use that for everything. Build a bubble with bleachers for 10K fans.. something that can be used for practice for some sports afterward... don't we have a bubble already? With parking right there?

There ya go.. couple games at

- the Barn
-the football practice bubble on Busch gets most of them
other games at..
-Trenton
-Newark
-Atlantic City

Call it the Scarlet Knight's New Jersey Road Show!

There's a bunch of large National Guard armories in NJ... heck.. play a game at the Lakehurst blimp hangars...

And sign up for multiple Holiday Tourneys... playing all neutral site games.

1. I trust your friend because I want to
2. Missing a season at home would be so damaging to the program I think it would be avoided at all costs.

I don't understand some of you guys. You're all clamoring about upgrading the OOC schedule, playing good teams on the road or at neutral sites and are bashing the idea about playing Uconn on Long Island? It's right in our backyard. A simple bus trip for our team. Some of you guys are ridiculous. Don't go if it's too much of an inconvenience.

UBS arena is probably looking to put good events in there since it's so new. MSG's schedule probably pretty full. That's it in a nutshell. Stop complaining.

I have a connection to tickets at Prudential Center so I vote for playing our games there for the season, if necessary.

In fact, if we want to kick out Seton Hall and move there permanently - very selfishly I'm on board.

A game in Long Island is a joke..please stop

Seriously, we're in NJ, and a large percentage of our season ticket holders live in the Central Jersey area. They're not going to Long Island to see a game.
Apparently this promoter really hates Paul Taglibue.

Wants to show him he’s wrong.

Minny was booked for that date.
