Hey everyone! Be sure to check out the new Rutgers site run by my former colleague Aaron Breitman at On the Banks. It's called The Scarlet Faithful. Aaron debuted the site last night with a bunch of articles and five podcasts:

Ep 1: Pat Hobbs
Ep 2: Steve Pikiell
Ep 3: Greg Schiano
Ep 4: Coquese Washington
Ep 5: Geo Baker (@Geo_Baker_1)

I got a sneak peek of Pike's and Geo's and they're great.

Why the new site when On The Banks has been up, running and doing a great job for so long?

That was an excellent interview! Made me understand the emotional highs and lows that the team faced during the past several years and left me with a great feeling about the team, coaches and even NIL for basketball particularly going forward. As someone who used my Rutgers degree to start and grow a successful business (and there are plenty of us out here), I know you will be able to tap into some valuable resources for Knight Society. It's great to see you and Eric trying to bring it all together. Thanks, Geo, and good luck in all your endeavors. I see a very bright future for you.

Watched and enjoyed the Pike interview so far. Some pretty good nuggets in there, like this one: “Cliff is gonna be taking threes on a regular basis. Why? because he can make them.”

Imagine if the leading dunker in the nation becomes a legitimate 3-point threat for us? This is the kind of thing (along with the leading assist man and top defender in the B1G, etc.) that keeps me excited about RU basketball in the Pike era. Gotta love it.

Was probably one of my favorite interviews I’ve ever done!
Just listened to the interview. You are a very open, excellent communicator. And I could tell you were having fun talking about your businesses and your career. That interview brought back so many memories, the TO down 24-8 vs Indy at MSG and how we got off the deck and balled out. I could go on, but I don’t want to ruin it for other fans. That interview is a MUST SEE/LISTEN!!!

Thank you for everything, Geo. And it’s so damn cool to have you as a fellow alum!!!

Interestingly, my security software won't allow me to visit that URL and lists the site as dangerous. I ran external scans and didn't find any reason why that should be, except that Trend Micro reports the site as dangerous.

You have to treat yourself and look at game day threads while a game is on. You will see the most ridiculous overreactions to individual plays. Truly, some funny stuff.
I thought the FB game-day threads were bad. But the MBB game-day threads are awful. A sad example of (some) adults behaving exactly like spoiled little children.

My advice to @Geo_Baker_1 is to avoid the game-day threads like the plague. They're no treat of any kind. The ratio of childish temper tantrums to humorous content is too high.

Thank you. I’ve passed this info to the development team. The only thing I can think of is we had some dummy articles up initially to test the site after it went live. Regardless I don’t think there are any actual issues. I can log into it from my work desktop and work laptop and never a security warning or threat. Regardless, I want to make sure and thank you for flagging this. I’ll report back.

Sometimes, one of the threat detection/reporting services (like TrendMicro) produces a false positive. And sometimes there are actual threats tucked into otherwise innocuous-looking third party components used in the creation of websites. If the dev team contacts TrendMicro, they might get more guidance from them or else perhaps TrendMicro will evaluate and remove the false positive.

Also, if the domain name was previously owned by someone else, it's possible they did something that caused red flags.

Scans from multiple other threat detection/reporting services showed the site was clear and safe. So my guess is it's just an anomaly in TrendMicro's scanning. It'll get resolved.

Best of luck with the new site.

SB Nation/Vox owns On The Banks. Since I put in so much time for a side gig, I wanted to maximize my earning potential by owning my own site. And I have full control now too. Hope you give it a shot. Thanks.
Already have Aaron. Glad you own it now and please keep up the good work. Thanks!
