It’s very very likely that Caleb and Pike know the plan. This is a great opportunity for Caleb but this changes very little. Geo had multiple workouts last year and he was always coming back.
No impact on decision, other than explaining why he didn’t announce sooner one way or the other.
I think there's a misnomer about what getting a workout means. Orlando didn't just bring in Caleb McConnell to see Caleb McConnell, they would have brought in a bunch of guys so that they could run drills or even some 3 on 3 or 5 on 5. They'll individual workout for the guys they're considering at #1 but not for second rounders/UDFA. To a certain extent they just need bodies. Maybe he was close by (he has family in Florida) and that was a consideration, who knows.
That said, I'm happy for him and really hope to see him in scarlet again next season.

All the rumblings point to him coming back. I think he's making the most of his opportunity to get feedback on what to work on. We'll hear the good news in the next day or two and then get to enjoy watching Caleb for one last season.

I have been checking in all day to see if he has made an announcement. I am hoping he will return. I still think Pike needs to bring in another player if he does come back.
