I’ve been told a lot of portal guys have issues . Could be grades, could be attitude issues, could be drug issues. It’s what most people on the outside don’t realize. And many of these kids are looking for starter minutes. Someone who knows told me this so take it for what’s it’s worth. A recent guard who transferred to a local big East program was a troubled kid as many in the portal are.

Wonder how much Pike's love for Wright has to do with off court the court criteria as well. Princeton guy won't have grade issues at least.

Also interesting to see if Pike sticks to what we heard about the portal or if he finds too many flaws and goes back to JuCo or HS for one of the spots at least

Carino like half joked today that half of d1 will be in the portal. I'm sure they're not all drug addicts who cant read

Good thing we have starters minutes available. There's a term for bringing together guys with egos or work ethic issues and turning them into a winning basketball team. It's called coaching.

The 1976 and 1991 teams had players with big egos and were very successful because of coaching and players that could create and make shots off the dribble.Its all about recruiting higher level talent and having the coaching staff develop team cohesion .

Why not just say Montez Mathis, we can figure out very easily what guard transferred from RU to a BE school

St. Peter's had a great, historic run at the end of the season. However, they still lost 12 games and played poor competition until the tournament. How good are these 3 kids actually over the course of a high level D1 school? Will they handle the grind well?

Rutgers loss 14 games some of which were against very mediocre competition .I never heard comments that the players couldn't handle the grind.
