This guy is the Sports Director for NJ.com and the one who pushes Politi to write his hit piece articles on RU. Anyway, I assume as an editor you're writing skills exceed that of a 5th grader, but this guy has proved me wrong.

When you go onto the Rutgers site for NJ.com, it is littered with stories about St Peters, and the only link to Rutgers is this moron saying Rutgers wishes it was them. But to make matters worse, the guy is reaching pathetic lows by trying to sell St Peters tshirts on a Rutgers site, which is a good sign that NJ.com is drowning under the weight of their own selves.

With Sarge jumping ship to get away from this guy, hopefully they can give Kratch a well deserved promotion and the site can be something more than click-bait ( yes - I admit by reading his article - that I fell for it as well)

The joke is on you idiots for still reading NJ.com

You complain about how they trash RU (and they do) and then you turn around and help keep them in business. It has been years since I read an article on there. Do yourself a favor and stop cold turkey and you will quickly realize you don't miss it.

Or keep clicking their articles to keep them in business.

They do more RU coverage and more positive RU coverage than any other outlet. You people are weird.

That is why I ended my post by saying that I fell for it...But to be fair - for the Julie era and the beginning of the Hobbs era, they were pretty spot on to trash us.

Kratch is an excellent reporter and Sarge was always a fair and objective investigative journalist. I only wrote the post because I didn't know that guy even wrote articles, and their attempt to sell St Peters swag on a Rutgers site was laughable.

Actually, they do not. Gannett NJ- NorthJersey.com, app.com, mycentraljersey.com do just as much coverage, and very few negative slants like NJ.com.
Not even close to true. Carino is great but the breadth and depth of Gannett's football coverage isn't close and for other sports it's almost non-existent.

How good is the coverage in any of these place nowadays ? Maybe some recruiting news ? Some kid put us in his top 12.
During the football season the coverage is worthless. If you watch the game , the presser is usually posted here.

Ditto to that! Manahan is a douche. His treatment of Rutgers by openly mocking them many years ago got me to finally cancel my wasted of subscription to the SL. Remember when they planted staff on the football boards, pretending to be anti-Rutgers. I'm surprised the paper is still around. Did I mention Manahan is a douche?

It certainly appeared they did. The famous Forum Titan was planted staff. The plan was quite simple, disparage Rutgers in order to get forum posters to check back on the threads and respond to and defend their Scarlet Knights, which resulted in more website clicks. Little did the idiots know, when they created that name and if you clicked on the profile, it had an ID or email, that showed it was from the paper. Pretty much as soon as it was pointed out, the profile was changed. I used to have a screen shot of the profile somewhere, but it's probably long gone. Isnt that a nice way for a NJ paper to treat our Scarlet Knights? Did I mention Manahan is a douche?

Actually, it's relevant because back when Julie had her famous quote about the Star Ledger dying - it was in reference to this guy...On a side note, NJAM probably cost Rutgers a few years of sports futility with their misleading reporting on Mulcahy and Pernetti
Julie, Julie, Julie….what was RU thinking?

Who can forget her famous quote at her RU AD introduction presser? “There is no video”.
