Sampson was shady as hell at Oklahoma and Indiana, but the man can flat out coach. There's a lot of smoke with Musselman, but he's an excellent coach too. It's all about winning.
The stuff Sampson did then is legal now. I guess that doesn't exonerate him but he wasn't Will Wade dropping bags.

I will be rooting for the Hogs all the way. Their fans were so kind to us Rutgers folks when we played them ten years ago, and it's never left me. And Southern Gentleman is as good as person as there is, so WFPS!!
I have a friend who is personal friends with Musselman, they know each other from his San Diego days. He is a stand up, solid guy. Never heard a bad thing about him.
Walking into that game at RU an Arkansas fans was screaming in our faces “this is Big Boy Football.” I just laughed at him because it’s not like either of us have an impact on the game plus the SEC is in fact Big Boy Football so I couldn’t argue if I wanted to. All of the other Arkansas fans were really cool about it “just ignore him” and stuff like that. It was all good. We had a great win that day.

Not every recruit is lost due to money...some were. College basketball is shady and Rutgers does not play in the circle...just the Reality.
You would have to be very naive to assume there is never money involved. That doesn't mean there is always money involved.

Some of these schools don't have to cheat. As shady as Calipari is presumed to be, he's at a point where he doesn't have to cheat anymore. All he has to do is show 5 star recruits the Wall of Fame with all of the Kentucky players that were 1st round picks. It's quite a few.
