No, Skinny Vinnies was over behind the student center I think.
I can't remember the name of the place but ate many a drunken slice there. As a side note back in the early eighties Filippo's would deliver a large pie and a two liter soda for $3.75. I **** you not.

$4 for the same thing from Coffaro’s. Soda in the paper carton too.
Guiseppe's was on the corner there across from the Knight Club in the early to mid 90s. One night after many hours at the Knight Club drinking $2 pitchers we went over to Guiseppe's for pizza. In a drunken state I stupidly just grabbed a slice off the counter and just started eating it without paying. Mr Guiseppe caught me and chased me out of the place yelling "nobody steals from Guiseppe". He kicked out the whole crowd of people he was so mad, not my finest moment.
I recall watching wrestling PPV's at The Knight Club in the late 1990s on Sunday nights. Buddy worked there. We'd grab a few pies from one of those pizza joints next door or so and house em.

Giuseppe’s!!! That was it. Thank you, that was driving me crazy that I couldn’t remember the name.
Patti's behind the Barn / Student Center... is now Olive Garden... but that was the place for pizza back in the day.
It is a bit surprising that in a state FULL of great pizza.. that Rutgers-New Brunswick doesn't have any that can claim the title for best pizza in the state. Someone should change that. Maybe that Raritan place, Delucia's.. should expand.

I knew there was a different name I had not yet seen mentioned.. that's it.
It is Pizza City now, and when I was there in early 2000s. I dunno how long it has been there though.
Old Queens had a pretty decent pizza back in the day, especially if Libby put enough pitchers on the table. All us Old Guard remember Libby and her famous greeting "You boys are al 21 right" (no question mark needed)
It’s unbelievable that you cannot get a good quality slice in NB. What I can get up here in Jersey City blows everything away and rivals some of the best pizza that I have had in general.
The two best LOOKING places/pies in the area based on just review of pictures seem to be these places. Two of the three are in HP.

Theresa's used to be my go-to for pizza... and a bunch more.
And yet my roommate and I still had to go dumpster diving to get 10 coupons off the boxes for a free pie sometimes

New Brunswick pizza is embarrassingly bad. Only time it’s good is at 2am with a few drinks in you.

The pizza in NB and throughout the NB campus has always been meh. The best nearby pizza was Maria's in Milltown. I would backtrack there for lunch whenever I had a class on Cook/Douglas.
The best RU pizza I experienced was while on the Newark campus for my second MBA year. Roberts.....just beyond the law school building.

Highland Pizza got new owners about 5-10 years ago now, and while still solid not as good as it used to be. I'll never forgive them for no longer making Zeppolies on Fridays.

I grabbed some plain slices a couple of times recently at Lubrano's on Easton Ave. in Somerset and thought it was really good.
That was our go-to delivery place, late 90s
They had a deal for years where for 10 bucks you got a medium pizza and 1 liter soda, drivers tip included.
And the pizza was excellent

Having grown up, in my early years, in New Brunswick I was trying to remember, but that memory was locked away. I only really remembered biking from Huntington Street to go to the grease trucks.

Coffaros was a place we lived off of junior and senior year - could get a square Sicilian pie with a liter of Coke for $5.
Filippo's on George Street has been around since 1972. Pizza joints don't last more than 50 years unless they serve pretty good slices.

80s at Coffaro's...same thing for $4. Might not have been a full 2 liters in the paper carton but it was enough Coke for one or two.
