Would we decline an NIT bid?

I would hope so . That tournament is a loser. But I don’t think we would . Plus, pike probably gets a bonus for playing in it
If unfortunately it happens......I would love to have a few more home games and cheer on our team before sending them to MSG.

No interest in that. Would be really depressing to see Geo and Ron playing in that after so many big games and atmospheres. No one on that team will want anything to do with that. It’s time to scrap that tournament.
Rick Dadika, a 5th year senior in 1990, lamented in the Targum that he was to be playing in the NIT instead of going on spring break.
Ron and Geo would be humiliated playing in the No Interest Tournament. If you have opt outs in bowl games now why wouldn’t you expect guys who have played on a big stage saying, “thanks, I’ll pass”. I would.
This is the new “Will we have enough players for a team next season?”
Maybe that's a reason....let Ron, Geo, and Caleb opt out and get a start on next season by giving it a go with Jones, Miller, et al
Stop with this NIT narrative. We’re going to the dance. We are better than more than 65% of the teams going dancing and the committee knows it.
I doubt we’d get to MSG. The team and the fanbase would not get in to the NIT
