Fran credit today in his presser-- praised Ru and said ots a dumb question a no Brainerd RU deserves to be in tourney
LOL....Had to read this a few times to decipher it but totally agree that it was nice of Fran to say that....

I have no problem with Fran. Not sure why, but he evokes strong negative reactions from opposing fan bases going back to his MAAC days. I am friends with a Rider guy who hates him. It’s probably because he wins all the time and advocates for his team.

He’s smug and shoots straight. Where Pike comes off as a caring, heartfelt guy, Fran’s demeanor makes him seem like a prick. Not saying that he is, it’s just the vibe he gives off that rubs anyone that is not his fanbase the wrong way

Handshake line wasn't a Michigan style one and [Pike did make sure Fran listened to what he had to say.
Fran took it as it was meant, in the name of two competitors showing their sportsmanship
Fran also had nice things to say about Rutgers in his post game interview .
That should show everyone that Fran might not be that bad of a guy , but the competitor he is sometimes makes him seem different .

IMO, I d rather have a coach that has "some" fire and stands up for his players. I couldn't imagine playing for a coach that doesn't have my back. He's a nice guy, but maybe too nice.

You’d get rolled again. Iowa is a better team. We won and it had nothing do with the officials.
the officials seemed a little soft on your Hawkeyes and hard on the Scarlet Knights.
Rutgers strength coach couldn't take it and got Ted up.
I'll give Iowas credit for the win, RU's strength coach lost his cool and RU played till the end

Congrats on the win, good luck in the next game and don't get so uptight when it's pointed out how the refs didn't officiate perfectly .
Iowa came into the game the favorite and left the winner, that can't be disputed, but how the game is officiated is subject to interpretation
I'll look at it as Iowa earned the 6.5 spread and the officials gave them 3.5 😉

Cohawk why don’t you come to the RAC & say hi next game? I’m sure it will go very
well for you! Your team is very soft by the way & only won today because the refs literally cheated for Iowa. It’s an embarrassment to the Big10

He was upset at Mulcahy diving at Murray's legs for a loose ball w 4 seconds left in the game.
I saw and could understand that. A bit much effort from PM at that stage. But always injury risk taken when leaving players in the game. He saw we were playing to the final whistle, maybe Murray should have been out.

Going to see more of that as long as these stupid metrics are in play versus common sense.

Why was Murray in game at that point?

It was Kris Murray Mulcahy dove at, who is a bench player. Mulcahy also tried to trip him in the first half.
