Caleb is the best. There was a recent quote from Ron talking about how Caleb is always telling them to lock in defensively and not to let what happens on offense impact their defensive effort if it's not going well. Ron admitted it's something many struggle with but Caleb is always on them.

To be a great defensive player at an elite level you need to lock in on defense all the time. It only takes momentary lapses to get burnt. The level of focus and dedication Caleb showed on the defensive end this season was in inspiration.

Let this also serve as a warning to the posters who rip freshman in their first games. DPOY and HM all conference

I said this elsewhere, Caleb was not highly recruited at all.

Pike saw something in Caleb.

Despite medical issues, Caleb worked his *** off, he flourished on this team and he developed under this coaching staff.

I am so damn happy for Caleb, his teammates and our coaches!! Congratulations Caleb!!!

He looks like the least excited guy in the room. Stay cool, Caleb.

Loved this dude's game. Hard work, grit and swagger, even though he's from Fla, he personifies the Jersey attitude. He understands what his role is and how he's going to contribute to winning and gives it 110% day in and day out.

Great day for Caleb and RU hoops.

I am shocked Caleb progressed to this level defensively. Seemed he was trying to find his place the first couple of years. He sure as hell Found it. His story is why I LOVE college basketball.

Don’t underestimate the impact of nagging injuries earlier in his career. Back issues really restrict your movement.

I will admit.. in the offseason when there was all this talk about McConnel as a defensive stopper, I assign that to more PR than anything else because we have just lost Jacob Young to transfer.

but... DAMN if he/they were not speaking TRUTH.

Well deserved.

The injuries hampered his offensive development IMO
My idea is that he got worse, offensively.. maybe BECAUSE he worked his body so hard with that fast-twitch muscle stuff to be the best defender. Just might not make you a smooth shooter. Just a thought. By next year he might be able to step it up offensively.
