Jalen absolutely should have fouled before Sessoms could shoot. That was the biggest coaching blunder IMO.

I’d hope Pike gave the instruction to foul but Miller is a true frosh and Sessoms a senior, Miller was prob worried about the more experienced player drawing a shooting foul

I don’t agree with pikes you 3 and fouls to tiff strategy ever. We lucked out but you need to foul and press while they are bringing the ball up and make them eat time. Why wasn’t jalen up on sessoms full court like we had been al game. You turn him a few times and then foil him when he crosses over half court. Ronde repeat until you get to 6.

We are a Division 1 team. We definitely could use an actual inbounds play

I would have done full press in final minutes with fouls to give, and been over aggressive of inbounds of PSU inbounds before that 3..but we pulled it out. The way this season is, maybe it was fitting to win this way. Also to get this out of our system if leading 10 with 5 minutes to go to get to sweet sixteen..

I was screaming at the TV. We had actually 3 fouls to give there. Sessoms, NEVER should have been able to dribble down the court and take an easy 3 point shot. Up 4, you NEVER let the opposition get down the court so easily without fouling. We could have forced PSU to run down the clock to near 2 seconds by fouling them before they even got a shot off. What the hell was Pike NOT thinking there? Thank god we won, but man-o-man he was not using his head there.
