Anyone who knows our recent basketball history like a reporter should wouldn’t be shocked. Our MO is to back ourselves in a corner and then pull a rabbit out of our *** when we have too.
Though the headline might have been written by someone else. It used to be, but I’m not sure if that’s still the case given how small newspaper staffs are now.
And have you had your eyes opened the last 3 years. We win when backed into a corner. This should have surprised no one who pays attention. Our defense and rebounding in the second half was very good. We missed 3s too.

Tbh deep down inside i always hoped wed continue to have their number but man, we were watching different games it seems. We were really outplayed badly the first 30+ minutes. We were fortunate to even be within striking distance simply because they couldnt knock down wide open shots

We’ve lost many games with a single bad 5-10 minute cold stretch, so nice to have another team go cold. We weren’t outplayed in 2nd half.
This narrative is just not true. We are a RHJ miss at the buzzer in overtime from being .500 on the road in the B1G. Let me repeat that. We are almost .500 ON THE ROAD in the Big Ten this year. In the last 3 years Pike has now won at Wisconsin, Iowa, Maryland, Nebraska, Indiana, Northwestern, Purdue, Penn State, Minnesota. The only teams he hasn't beaten on the road are Ohio St, Michigan, Illinois and Michigan St. We used to be terrible on the road. Not any more.

Haha dude we out shot them 48% to 41% and were still down 7 at half. If you wanna call it scarlet glasses id agree because any objective person would say we got totally outplayed in the first half.
