Yes, it's all very nerve wracking, and, as someone said in another thread, makes us all mental cases.

But who DOESN'T want meaningful basketball games in February? And who DOESN'T want a chance to grab a top 4 spot in the venerable Big Ten?

This has been some ride over the past several weeks, and if our "new" team -- Paul on the ball and just dominating opposing guards, Cliff as a dominating big, Geo and Ron as wing scorers, Caleb as a defensive stopper, Deano off the bench as a productive stretch 4 -- continues to play like they've been, the ride is only going to get funner (more fun?) over the next month.

So buckle up, strap in, and enjoy the RRRRRRRRRRRRRRide!

Just don't wear it

Has this changed?

Events

We currently anticipate that in-person events will resume on Monday, January 31, 2022. At that time, all event attendees will be required to show proof of full vaccination (two mRNA doses or the single J&J) or a COVID-19 negative PCR test taken within 72 hours of the event and must remain compliant with the published COVID-19 protocols.

Athletic Events

Proof of full vaccination (two mRNA doses or the single J&J) or a COVID-19 negative PCR test within 72 hours is required by all those attending athletics events. Face coverings are required at all times and concession sales are now limited to water and soft drinks only.

You bring up a good point. On the radio this morning, I heard one of the those gambling ads. They were running down WVU saying that the wheels have come off and it was going to be a brutal march to the end of the season. Basically saying bet against them.

I was thinking, man it is so nice to have three straight seasons playing important basketball down the stretch. And going to the RAC has been appointment viewing again for a long time now.

Craziest season you could ever imagine really. We will never see a season with so many bad losses and huge wins in the same year ever again. What a fun wild RRRRRRRRide it's been
A fun RRRRRide in a season that can best be described as a RRRRRoller Coaster!

I've enjoyed the hell out of this season. I want them to make the tournament as much as anybody else and I understand the importance of it. But I'm making a conscious effort to just watch inspired basketball
I have also enjoyed this season and after sitting through many losing seasons for over 40 years of going to games you can't help but enjoy the heck out of this team; After one game finishes I can't wait for the next game

These are the salad days.

Amazing some schools do this every year.

And made even better and more thrilling playing against Big 10 legends rather then winning and losing in a second tier conference.

No idea but half the crowd isn't wearing it so it's really up to the individual

This won't be fun until we don't need to worry about getting a bid. If we drop the next 4, we will not get a bid.

I don't think we will win tonight. So it will come down to the final 3 games.

The 2 home games will be must-win games if we lose tonight and lose at Indiana.

Everything can still fall apart. The guys have to be both good and lucky in this final stretch.

I think you took a wrong turn. This is the fun thread. If you make a left and then a right, you should find an angst thread.

In your third paragraph you said “if” we lose which means you’re saying we have a chance to win, so that’s a good thing and thank you for posting something positive in this thread.

Think about the alternative. Like you’re Nebraska, Maryland, Northwestern, Minnesota, or Penn State who have no shot at an NCAA bid and are just playing out the schedule. They’re the ones not having any fun.

Even if the poster’s negative scenario plays out, we still have opportunities to get it done. Granted, the pressure is greater, but we still have opportunities.

They can play spoiler late in the season. Gives them something extra to play for if you have a late season game against a bubble team
