So I’ve seen that there are tons of RU fans on here that live in the Philly area, but unlike fans all the way out in Arizona, there are somehow never any watch parties in the Philly area for any of the basketball or football games, not even for the huge ones…. So considering how great the games have been and how huge these last few are, it seems like it’s about time to pick a bar and start packing it for every game instead of watching the electricity in the RAC alone on our couches! Anyone want to try and help pick a spot to be the home of Rutgers Nation in the Philly area? Hoping to figure it all out just in time to watch our boys shock the world again tomorrow night, while surrounded by RU fans!

Since Arizona was mentioned I'll ask this here... I'm in Arizona and I watch our games alone in my living room, or occasionally with my wife if (and only if) Sweet Pea is able to get her interested in a game... Anybody know if any bars or restaurants in the southern AZ area regularly show RU games?

WhiteBus organized a couple football watch parties a few years back at O’Neals on South Street that I think were pretty well attended. But yeah it’s been a few years since I’ve seen anything organized in Philly.

@WhiteBus has a buddy that has a bar in Philly
As mentioned O'Neal's on 3rd need South Street. Have had a many watch parties there (then came along Ash) full house upstairs everytime. Rutgers only upstairs and full sound.

Would they flip on the RU hoops game today if a few guys came in and asked?

It's the best game of the day so can't imagine why any bar that plays sports wouldn't throw it on... NFL is over
A good bar owner/manager would try to accommodate their patrons to keep them there as long as possible

But I’ve been to places that are stubborn and would rather show something THEY are into rather than their customers

I'd be all for a spot in Philly or in South Jersey. I'm only about 35 min. from Center City, a little off of Exit 2 (NJTPK). Would love a regular spot somewhere in Center City or in SJ.

Would love for this to happen. I’m a young buck still in college at UPenn but would be awesome to have some Rutgers watch party spot. I’ll keep my eyes open for places
