Lots of adrenaline and emotion going after a win.Probably Hyatt, but listening to a twitter spaces last night, Nick Brooks said he talked to Ron and RHJ said he was fine, so maybe he won't miss purdue
Zappaa,FYI
His release, finger roll hand is fine.
It’s his left

Mag or Hyatt?
My thinking was it’s “probably” an injury that can’t get worse,Zap, you said last night Novocain and dirt was what RHJ needed.
I think only death, and maybe not even that, will keep Ron away from the game Sunday night.
If he can’t go?
Mag or Hyatt?
I just moved to Cranford, love it so far. Definitely love the town's support of HS sports tooZappaa,
It was nice finally meeting you last night at the Rutgers Club. Always knew you thought highly of Cranford baseball. This ride of RU hoops is real fun..........
Best of Luck,
Mark (Groz)
I have a handle, please use itDale Berra just said something about how they numbed themselves to injury back in the 80s but I am NOT going to take the bait. Because I have learned restraint in my old age.![]()
I said nothing about injuries in general, I specifically said broken digits.Dale Berra just said something about how they numbed themselves to injury back in the 80s but I am NOT going to take the bait. Because I have learned restraint in my old age.![]()

You and @RUAZ must be buds.Tore tendons in two fingers in college football game against Cornell in 1960. Nobody numbed ****. Afterward got metal splints put on. Good to go.

I'm a huge Mag fan but I could definitely get behind this. Hyatt seems like he could be on the verge. His energy and effort on D has been better and he crashed the boards hard. He still has those mental lapses but a start could be a giant boost to his confidence. It could just take one breakout performace to get him going. Hyatt can be a streaky scorer tooAlthough Mag has started before and did great as a starter against Purdue the first time , I really think Hyatt will be more confident and focused as a starter as he has struggled in this bench role. He was more energetic and alert yesterday , especially on defense , and if he starts for 5 minutes both halves he might give us 8-10 points
Ron plays a lot of minutes so if he misses they all likely benefitI see Hyatt and Mag AND Reiber getting lots of time to make up for Ron's POSSIBLE absence.
Hyatt made 3 hustle plays on the offensive end that were huge. However he could have been called for 3 fouls attempting the 3 point shooter and got whistled for one. He scares the heck out of me in a half court offense. Also think, but don't know, he made a few bonehead switches on D.I'm a huge Mag fan but I could definitely get behind this. He fouled a 3 point shooter and dropped a pass in his hands. There is always the good with the bad with Hyatt... it's why I was also surprised Hyatt was taking Mag's minutes but Hyatt is the biggest strongest wing and I think it was all about rebounding for Pike last game. He could have a similar thought against Purdue who also has beasts at the 5Hyatt made 3 hustle plays on the offensive end that were huge. It's keeping Trevion off the glassHe fouled a 3 point shooter and dropped a pass in his hands. Reiber as a stretch 4 or 5 will likely be a part of the game plan. It's keeping Trevion off the glass
I'd think with 40 minutes of Williams-Edey we can't play both Cliff and Dean at the same time. That would be playing with fire. In limited minutes, but enough to have value, Hyatt is a capable defensive rebounder and DREBs at a higher clip than Dean.Reiber as a stretch 4 or 5 will likely be a part of the game plan.
Maybe Mag or Hyatt at 5 offensively , switch offensively and defensively. Caleb DREBs like a power forward.
Don't see Reiber playing anything other than Cliff's back up. Edey draws a ton of fouls. May need Dean out there more than normal. I don't know that Pike would want to use up any of those minutes elsewhere.I see Hyatt and Mag AND Reiber getting lots of time to make up for Ron's POSSIBLE absence.
Mag or Hyatt at the 5 against Purdue sounds like a disasterMaybe Mag or Hyatt at 5 offensively , switch offensively and defensively. Reiber outside can open things up.
Later in game we will have a sense of fouls...
As the greatest Rutgers flag football player of all time, I'll allow itI cracked the pinkie on my throwing hand in a pickup basketball game while in college. I was usually the QB of my intramural flag football team, but had to switch to line (screen blocking only) for a game because I couldn't throw or reliably catch with a splint and buddy-taping on that hand.
(Cool story, bro...)
At teh five on Offense, not on Defense.Mag or Hyatt at the 5 against Purdue sounds like a disaster
