ESPN gameday basketball show

Earlier in the season I thought maybe the MSU at RU game was our best chance to attract the infamous ESPN Saturday morning gameday show - basketball version.

….. BUT

now Rutgers is the talk of the nation.

IF Rutgers beats Purdue on Sunday , then I think we get ranked AND the following Sat might be a very real option for the show to be hosted on campus at RU when we are schedule to play ranked Wisconsin which could become a battle for first place in the conference !

OTHER games of note that day :
auburn at Tenn both highly ranked but on CBS
Purdue at MsU - both ranked and it’s on ESPN
Kentucky at Arkansas - both ranked and it’s on SEC network which is ESPN
Kansas at Baylor , both Top 10 and on ESPN

I looked up the # of possessions per game. Virginia is actually the lowest (#358) at only 61.3 possessions per game! Wow. We are slow too, coming in at #290 with 68 per game. Wisconsin is up at #258 with 68.9 per game.

Big Ten in general is a more deliberate game than in many other conferences. I don't think that makes our league boring at all, though.

I’ve lost ESPN on my YouTubeTV service. I’ve been able to see every Rutgers game so far on BTN or FS1 and I’m fine with letting Google and Disney fight it out … until the tournament.

No one watches ESPN anymore except if you’re at Buffalo Wild Wings or it’s 10pm on a Saturday in the fall and you just got home from the game and want to watch UCLA vs Oregon

I don't think it's big for eyeballs but big for students/morale. If College Gameday came here they'd be amped up for sure.

Would be cool if BTN did a show like that at 10am on a Saturday or something, like they do for football, for a big game that night. At least on Saturdays

On a related note, is there any chance of one or more of our final season games being bumped off BTN to ESPN or FS1/Fox? Purdue is already set for FS1.

Checks ESPN page for RU schedule, I see that the final two games have no TV station listed. Would be amazing for the final game against the Cult being played for the regular season championship.
