thanks for posting. I have been saying that Bracketologists have been too caught up in the January bracket and too slow to move teams in and out. They are playing coy and guys like Joe know better even with the bad losses. 3 wins, 2 more q1s make it academic, Joe knows the mediocrity going on in the Big 12 right now. Mike De Courcy just came around, expect Joe will eventually.

If we do okay the rest of the way, just okay, and there are no upsets in the one bid leagues in their tournaments, I’m feeling good.

Which is what I have been saying for over a week (and especially since we got the road win at WI, which was big): 12-8 is a mortal lock, regardless of the B1G tourney, and 11-9 is on the bubble and we might or even probably need one tourney win to be in. I hope all the folks wringing their hands over whether 13-7 or even 14-6 (a few have said it) gets us in will now back off the ledge just a bit.

But going 3-3 the rest of the way, is no small feat...

Yea you have been consistently saying that when most thought we needed more.

Let's get more anyway... we are in the mix for B1G champion and if we get double bye why not win it all at that point

When he speaks he sounds like those that pick teams for the lacross tourney -- old reputations get in the way of who should be deemed competitive

ESPN also just added VTech to the bubble.

Not seeing their resume as discussion worthy. Home vs. ND and UVA are their best win. They wouldn’t even have that good a resume if they won out.

Well, we are guaranteed 7 more games this season. 6 conf., 1 conf. tourney. So the masses feel that going 3-4 in the next 7 gets it done regardless of which 3 we get? Or does at least 1 of those 3 wins need to be a Q1?

PSU and @Indiana regular season
First round B1G win with a weak draw from an upset in first round

Following college basketball for decades there are deserving teams every year that are left out of the tournament. And, every once in a while there’s an uproar when some major program gets passed over for a mid major or vice versa.

Put me the category that any 3 random wins is not enough. We still have marks on our resume, and if the at large spots get tight losing to Indiana and Michigan late (hypothetically), or heaven forbid PSU at home, will hurt us even if we have great wins. We also don’t know if these one bid leagues produce two, and the B1G ranked teams are sliding because we’re beating each other up. Perfect storm for a bad ACC to fight for another spot.

People love us right nor because we’ve won 3 in a row against top competition. Let’s keep rolling and not have to worry about this.

From regular season 6: the weakest resume builder in order is psu at home, then wisky at home (yes, this isn’t debatable yet and shows you how crazy hard are our last 6), then…. Probably Illinois at home, then at Michigan, at Indiana (but no problem if want to switch the order of past 3 as they’re all close), then at Purdue.

So going of the order I just posted, if we lose next 3, then beat wisky, lose to Indiana, beat psu, then in conference tourney we win 1 only. We’re in? Maybe, but probably in a bye game at best and to me only the winners of those games actually made the tourney.

I’m just saying, the average yokel who doesn’t follow Bball super closely but fills out a bracket (so that’s like 75% of people that will follow March madness?) … if you’re not in the Th or F games… “i didn’t even realize you were part of march madness”

Because they are 16-10 and are inching closer to the top 30. They will likely have to pretty much win them all

agree, I’ve never been a fan of the play in game.
