I just do not understand, for the life of me, who this guy thinks he is changing the way our fight song is played. It’s literally one of the best fight songs in the country, especially in that gym, and he’s been ******* with it. I don’t get it.
He shouldn't have too. Don't change the fight song
A bunch of us emailed him last month and got no responses aa far as I know.
Pep band director Dr. Joe Busuito left after last season to take the job as head of all university bands at ECU. There are lots of traditions and things that have gotten lost in the transition sadly it seems like.
I suggest email Hobbs, Holloway, and Pike. And get some students to do the same.
Maybe if you were at the game you’d realize they played it multiple times. Not sure what your complaint is.
Sorry, had clients until 8. They’re not playing it properly. It’s been a problem all season long. They play the 1st half of the song then, instead of finishing, they play the 2nd half of the sing the next time around. It’s awful.
Anyway I emailed the director again today. Maybe he’ll respond with a reason as to why this is being done. It makes sense to most, regardless, but it would be nice to hear his reasoning at the very least.
Best I can tell from our seats, unless that's an assistant or student, she's a she.
But I agree, the song has been shortened denying the crown their final "Go Knights!" response.
Problem is not having a bench we can rely on outside of 3 players. This isn't a problem.
Well he responded. Very nice email, to be honest, however seems to feel they haven’t changed a thing. I tried to elaborate a little better - regarding what everyone has been talking about - in my second email, so hopefully that gets us somewhere.
That’s your opinion. As there have probably been half a dozen threads on this issue, this season and this season alone, I would say that many people disagree but all good.

A big part of the OSU victory was Pike methodically using his TOs down the stretch (had all 4 left) just to give his starters rest. Don't have them in your pocket if you need to stop runs with them.
He has been using timeouts very well lately. No question. A few of us were shocked when he called that quick (2nd overall) time out after a basket, still with the lead on Saturday, but he ended up not needing it down the stretch anyway.
They do play the whole song. Maybe not every time because sometimes there is time to finish and sometimes there isn’t, but it is played the whole way through multiple times. Again if you aren’t there how can you complain?
Because I have been there and I know plenty of people, including others who have posted on this forum about it, who are hearing the same thing. I’m not the only person to bring it up around here. Look around you will find others have as well.
In the Purdue game it was a problem because they were playing the second iteration without the chant. Hasn't been a problem since I don't think.
