They are both very good players. The only knock on Ivy is his decision making. Johnny Davis has a leg up there. However, I do think Ivy has much better upside.

Last night was the first time I've seen much of Davis. I was impressed with how fast he was with the ball for a guy his size.
He draws defenders to him, because if you don’t over play him he’ll carve you up, then he finds the open man with easy to handle passes.
Exactly what Paul his been doing the last two games…only without that occasional low percentage bounce pass Paul tries through to many legs.

This is a true 2 sport player.....made the decision to go with hoops over QB, probably a wise decision, although he was projected to be a 4* QB as well.

He’s a great player.
Every time he touches the basketball good things happen.
He can jump out of the gym, create his own shot or he makes a perfect pass to a player and puts him in excellent position to score.
Best all-around player in the league
agreed player of the year in the Big!!

I haven’t seen much of Wisconsin this year, but boy this league is loaded. Absolute studs all around - Ivey (Purdue), Cockburn (Illinois), Davis (Wisconsin), Dickinson (Michigan), Murray (Iowa), Liddell (OSU), Jackson-Davis (Indiana)…these are all POY-caliber kids.

He can be inefficient every so often.

Davis vs. Penn State: 4-13
Davis at Illinois: 5-19
Davis vs. Ohio State: 4-18
Davis at Maryland: 7-19

When I first saw this thread, I was hoping it was an announcement that he was missing Saturday's game for some reason.

Yes, he is the real deal and arguably the POY although Kofi will probably get it. Beating these guys hinges on him having an off day.

Good points Zap. Davis is as good as anyone in the country right now. Teams never stop him, they can only hope to contain him. BYW, I think you sat next my young adult son and his buddy in section 114 for the MSU game. They told me that had a great time talking to "a really nice guy and diehard RU fan" who sat next to them. We had no idea who you were until we spoke with our row mates in 114 at last night's game. If it was you, just wanted to let you to know that you have two more fans. ;)

It seems the best two quarterbacks on the Wisconsin campus are on the basketball team.

Someone posted in a other thread his stats bit Davis has a bunch of very poor efficiency fg numbers in games this season so it has been done many times.

That means Caleb can do it. Mag can do it. If Caleb brings his A game defensively Wisconsin is going to need to have a good night from 3 to beat us

A lot of players seem to get inefficient when Caleb guards them.

I see 5-10 in the Yahoo app. Either way, he was QUIET outside of that short sequence in the middle of the 2nd half when he scored six. Another amazing stat: Wisconsin only scored four points over nine minutes after that burst, until they were down 70-60 with about 30 seconds left. Man, we shut them DOWN.
The pattern of teams completely failing on offense at end of games is lovely. It's gotta give the team more confidence late games moving forward too

The announcer kept saying “look how all
of the Rutgers players watch Johnny Davis when he has the ball,”… as if you’re not supposed to have an eye on the ball when you’re on defense
