OSU went big down the stretch and were muscling their way to a victory against our thinner lineup. Reminded of the Flyers v Rangers of old for a while there. Plus they were hot from 3 making it seem like we were just outmatched.

Gotta credit RHJ, Cliff and Caleb for fighting back and matching that physicality. Everyone was banging out there and then Geo was hot and we rode his shooting to victory.

Anyone who thinks that last play was a foul obviously was not watching what I witnessed last night. The boys are gonna be sore today but OSU is gonna feel it more. What a great game.

The last play was on the opposite end from me so I had to wait to view the replays. I don't think it was a foul either, but we would probably pissed if the roles were reversed. It's just the nature of fandom.

In general, I hate when refs allow physical play without calling fouls and then start calling the ticky tacky ones. Drives me up a f***ing wall.

That had to be one of the most physical and taxing games all year.

OSU players were bodying us all night, and I thought we just wore out towards the end, but then came that ridiculous last 3 minutes. A lot of it was clean (i.e. Kyle Young) but Zed Key was fouling and throwing cheap shots all night.

I thought the B1G refs were calling fouls away from the ball -especially illegal screens and using too much contact to fight through screens- all season. Not so much last night, which honestly favored RU's style. For the final 3 minutes, I don't think there was anything excessively out of character with how the game had been called to that point. Those were awesome blocks on forced shots. What most people don't understand is that once a shot has been blocked, it is a lose ball. Contact in the process of shooting is a foul, but incidental contact after a block is not a foul. It's a split second difference. Don't expect a call when you're putting up weak **** in the final minutes.

We’ll stated on contact after the block. It’s just like a punt in Football. If you get a piece of the ball you can obliterate the Punter but if you don’t get a piece you can’t touch him.

Refs let them play with 2 physical teams. Love it. Tightening of the whistle early 2nd half is something you see in physical games at times bc they don't want it to get too out of control by the time the game is on the line. As long as the tightening of the whistle applies to both teams I don't mind it as long as they let them play down the stretch

No problem with the refs. They always make some mistakes but the balance was there. I watched the replay highlights and our D was even better than I thought. There was a lot of pushing by both teams. Lots of body contact in the lane by both teams. We had more blocks but they blocked a few as well. We seemed to have a lot more steals but i haven’t checked the box score.

I said the same thing. I love the physical game, banging bodies, in your face defense, fighting for position down low... but there were a few things that get me agitated. The very illegal screens up high, with hips flying and shoulders being lowered are what get guys hurt.

I broke down and checked the box score and it wasn’t steals either. The difference in this game was our interior Defense. OSU was great beyond the arc but only 13-39 inside the arc. RU was 20-32 inside the arc. Plus they missed a lot of foul shots going 8/13 and we were 11/14.
