Hopefully the switch went off on this team. Played with more passion today then they have played all season. Semblance of an offense. Players willing to pass. Hats off to RHJ and Geo they played well today shared the ball and looked to drive and not settle for outside shot. If Paul cliff and Caleb can keep this going they will be a difficult out the rest of the season even with the schedule ahead.

Tremendous team win with six players scoring in double figuresThe fast start set the tone of the first half until Michigan State made a run including a 3 pointer at the buzzer to make the score Rutgers 40-38 at half time.Rutgers spurted again to start the second half and maintained a double digit lead which was extended to the final score of 84-63.The key part of the second half was when Baker,Harper and Cliff all were on the bench for more than five minutes.Rutgers played great defense getting turnovers and baskets by Reiber and Mulcahy .Mulcahy was outstanding in the second half scoring and piling up assists to end up with 15 points and 13 assisits.Brown was deadly from the 3 point line for Michigan State in the first half but was stifled in the second half by McConnell and other players taking turns guarding him.Kudos to the student section which really unnerved the Michigan State players in the second half.Hopefully, the momentum from this game will be caaried forward to Wednesday against Ohio State.

Fair and accurate assessment

thought you guys played well on offense. Our defense was swarming and you had several of your guys score contested baskets time and time again

but on defense and boards I agree MSU was soft.

I have always thought that pikes Rutgers teams are like MSU - super tough on d and boards. We just don’t usually have the same talent as MSU

still seems like MSU had more talent (hence your ranking and 8-2 record) but had half the toughness of RU tonight
