Did a quick search of the OP's posts. Could not find one of the 20 or so I looked at that were positie in any way.
In one he claims that he called Gruninger and advised him against hiring Littlepage. I'm sure Fred picked up the phone right away when he heard it was the OP.
I apologize for posting only when motivated by a terrible loss. I am consistent, however, in that I don't think that Pikiell can take us to the next level ( also stated by poster Fluoxetine yesterday in a Bac2therac thread yesterday). It is understandable that most are very happy that Pikiell has made us competitive, as compared to the last several decades. I am happy as well. It certainly is more fun to watch a team that is competitive. However, I don't believe Pikiell will get us into post season play on a regular basis, due to his lack of ability to recruit upper echelon kids. This failure will lead, at best, to 10-10 win loss records in the Big Ten. Maybe many of you are happy with that; I am not.
Now lets look at Pikiell's numbers:
W-L at Rutgers......92-83 overall
W-L in Big Ten........39-65
W-L best year.........21-11 ( W-L Big Ten 11-9 )
W-L Road Record...10-42 ( 1-6 this year )
Why would I lie about speaking with the former AD? In fact, during the Tom Young era, his assistants were happy to talk with fans; especially Joe Boylan ( a wonderful man ). Unfortunately, I was spoiled by the Tom Young term as head coach. However, the one game that drove me crazy was the NCAA loss to St. Johns. We had a good lead as the game was winding down. All of the St. Johns starters were in foul trouble. They, therefore, went into a zone defense. Instead of attacking the zone Rutgers went into a stall, took bad shots and eventually lost the game in overtime.
