Have you ever noticed how many different types of tampons there are? I literally froze in the isle and thought to myself, "I'm so screwed, I'm never going to get this right". And it's not like I can sit there and ask a woman, which one would you prefer?

The whopper never had cheese but a lot of onions and mayonnaise, what makes it so delicious. You have to ask for the cheese. You can get 2 for $6 but that’s a lot of calories. Way too much bread.

Jersey Mike's is kind of like Domino's pizza. If I'm in the middle of the country I might order it in a pinch, but in NJ there are much better local options.

True story: I went into a Victoria’s Secret once to buy my wife a gift, and I told the lovely saleswoman that I wasn’t sure what size to get.

Her response was, “Is she built anything like me?” essentially giving me permission to look her over.

I was so tempted to ask, “Would you mind turning around?” but I couldn’t do it. Instead I gave it the ol’ Ralph Kramden “homina, homina, homina” and mumbled something about them being more or less the same size.

Later I practiced different answers to that question, but alas, it was never to present itself again.

I eat fast food all the time in "stretches." Maybe get it 12-15 times in a month or two then won't eat it for 3 months. Will I put weight (bad weight) on if I'm not working out while doing so for a couple of months? Absolutely. Will I not put weight on if I'm working at during that stretch? Absolutely (and I'm not a crazy cardio person). Oh and my vessels are 100% clear. No buildup whatsoever (and I'm not exactly 35 anymore...cough, cough). Been doing this my entire adult life because, sometimes, I just enjoy it (and it's easy...especially when you can walk from your office to a few of them OR have it delivered now...).

All about genetics IMHO. Same guy my size/weight could do the same thing for 5 years and be done.

(Yes, LOVE it at the moment, HATE it 5-minutes later, lol....)

What you missed there was an opportunity to ask her to try stuff on. Back when VS was first getting started, the girls would occasionally do that.

A friend used to work at BK when we were kids in the 80's. Told me about an indian guy that always came in and ordered "Whopper, no meat". Thought this was hilarious, and one of those totally useless tidbits that stick with you. When i hear whopper now, i still think Whopper, no meat.

Worked at BK once mid-summer as a high school job. Manager made us announce over the PA "Fryer check!" whenever a hot chickie appeared in the drive-thru window so he could run up and serve her himself. Fun times!

Relating this to Rutgers....wife sent me to pick up a Jersey Mike's sub. I ordered something off the big menu board on the wall which listed lettuce, onions and tomatoes as components of the sub. All things she wanted. Maybe this was "The Italian" or something similar, but the specific sub name is not important.

When I saw them make it and begin to wrap it, I noticed they didn't include those things. I asked why, and they said I didn't ask for it "Mike's Way"

To me this is idiotic. I wanted exactly what I saw listed on the menu board. If I didn't want onions for example, I should be expected to say so.

The default components should be everything that's listed on the menu for that item.

I was curious about this so I did a google image search for the Jersey Mike's menu board and it came up. If you order a hot sub or a wrap, they list the ingredients by sandwich. However, if it's a cold sub, they just list the lunch meat in there. That's where you have to say "do it Mike's Way" to get all the veggies and other toppings on it.

No, they did not. I ordered the sub expecting to get the ingredients listed on the menu. And when I saw they didn't include them I said I wanted those things, they seemed to be irritated that I didn't know to order it "Mike's way", which of course irritated me even more for the stupidity of that ordering process.

If I didn't want those ingredients either I would have said so, or I would have ordered a different sub that didn't include them on the menu.

Any other place, fast food or not, they don't withhold whatever is listed on the menu unless you ask for that.

funny, ive only eaten at jersey mikes one time and they put items on that weren't even part of what i wanted and i had to have it re-made (coincidentally to this thread---they put cheese on when i didnt want it).

When I was at Cook back in the 70's beginning of every semester the school paper would have in it a coupon from local BK to buy one Whopper get one free. Room mate and I would always take an entire bundle of papers back to apartment and pretty much survive on Whoppers.
