When was the last time a TV crew waxed poetic about any RU performance. The BIG1G studio show could not stop talking about our defense
Well they were definitely right about D yesterdayTrue. They also pegged us as an upper-echelon Big 10 team after an awful start to the season. Let’s hope they are right!
Could be Pike's best team ever...(someone had to say it)When was the last time a TV crew waxed poetic about any RU performance. The BIG1G studio show could not stop talking about our defense
Replace all your bulbs with LEDs and you can stop hating on your wife for leaving lights on. If you've already replaced the bulbs, then it's costing nothing to leave lights on and you're just being grouchy and stubborn so stop being a hater dammit!I'm not a Pike hater per say. More equal opportunity, I just hate when he loses, so in reality I've loved Pike more than I've hated him. Sometimes I hate my wife(when she never ever turns off a light), but I'm not thinking about getting a divorce and I'm still married to her.
No dammit, it's been ingrained in me since childhood by fear of corporal punishment. That 5'2'" 110lb women packed a wallop, you don't forget sh*t like that. My wife is now scarring my adult years by leaving them on. (well at least that's what I tell her)Replace all your bulbs with LEDs and you can stop hating on your wife for leaving lights on. I learned long ago to always side with wives and GFs over husbands and BFs.
(Perhaps not so much in my own marriage and relationships, but that's different because I'm always right.)
My dad was extremely anal about turning off lights and locking doors (and putting the butter back in the fridge immediately). He was also extremely quick to become violently angry. A bad combo for a forgetful little kid like me.No dammit, it's been ingrained in me since childhood by fear of corporal punishment. So believe me, I get it.
My youngest still lives with me (23 y/o). An incredibly awesome kid. But he leaves lights on all the damn time. Problem is, he also cleans toilets, does laundry, vacuums, etc. all without ever being asked. Very tricky of him, that brat.
So while I want to beat him for never turning off a damn light, I can't in good conscience. Also, he's very fit and fast and fearless. So if I don't win in the first minute or so, I'll tire out and he'll kick my ***.![]()

Bro you keep acting like you had thoughtful questions when in reality you were unhinged posting back to back to back posts trashing Pike and anyone who supported him and trying to say the board nazis would attack anyone who dared say anything bad about Pike etc etc etc over and over and over. It was semi psychoticI admit after the horrific start I was questioning Pike (never a hater, as he seems like a really fine guy). IMHO the key to this being a successful season is not only how far this team can go, but how this translates into recruiting, which we need to hit a home run with this year.
You were lucky. And nobody should ever disrespect their mom or their dad.My dad tolerated everything except disrespecting my mom.
Do that and you had to stay clear of the back of his hand… his pinky was bigger than my thumb and every finger had a ring on it
If they're LED, just live with it, is my advice. Is not really hurting anything.I turn off all the lights every night and often wake up with many of them back on. We redid our kitchen and there are now so many lights (LED) it could probably be used as an airport runway. My 17 year old gets up in the middle of the night for water - and leaves every light on. Think I need to go to motion activated switches.
This I disagree with. The effort was there on offense. Just not the results.Best defensive effort I've ever seen from an RU team. A horrible offensive effort however. Probably bottom 20 I've ever seen.
One day I came into the kitchen & gave my mother some lip. Was maybe 19 or so. Next thing I knew I was in the dining room & couldn't hear much out of one ear. My Father had cracked me good & he said don't ever let me hear you talk to your Mother like that again. Even though my head was ringing, I heard that.My dad tolerated everything except disrespecting my mom.

Appreciate the sentiment. It was great. Still, I have to disagree.I have attended hundreds and hundreds of RU games since 1971 and have followed RU since the Lloyd and Valvano days and that was by far the best defensive game I have ever seen a Rutgers team play. They played as a team with a 100% plus effort all night long.
Harper was game high scorer and had 15 out of our 48 pts. Teams are blanketing him though some more than others. That’s the star player treatment. He’s a star player in this league. He proved many wrong by having the stamina to take the game over at the end when everyone else on both teams were dragging and even cramping in some cases.Effort was there on offense... Iowa played surprisingly tough D
One negative from the win could be other team's using Iowa's game plan. If a bad defensive team can make it work, a good defensive team can. They blanketed Harper. If we can't get Harper, going the entire offense struggles. Need the D to show up every night
The so-called "haters" came out after we gave up 85 to UMASS.When was the last time a TV crew waxed poetic about any RU performance. The BIG1G studio show could not stop talking about our defense
I have never come off the Pike bandwagon. I have always maintained he is the best thing to happen to RU basketball since Phil Sellers. The so-called "haters" came out after we gave up 85 to UMASS.
Where were you then?
While you say that NOW.. can you point to a post just after the Layayette or UMASS games where you came over to the free board and expressed your support?I have never come off the Pike bandwagon. I have always maintained he is the best thing to happen to RU basketball since Phil Sellers.

maybe you need to come up with $10 a month to see my many posts about how much I like Pike then. I have always been a huge supporterWhile you say that NOW.. can you point to a post just after the Layayette or UMASS games where you came over to the free board and expressed your support?
My point is that you started a thread to call out "Pike Haters" after a big win. People did the same thing after Purdue. But none of the people who do this publicly expressed their undying love and support when the Rutgers basketball team was losing to DePaul, Lafayette and UMASS.
To be clear, I was not among the so-called "Pike Haters" or even among the people who said we'd lose big to Purdue... I just think threads like this say more about the people who start them than they do about anyone who they'd like to call out.
