He was planning on redshirting last year but because it was a "free" year, he didn't have to so this will be his true Senior season, but with one more season of eligibility. I know everyone expects this to be Ron's last year even though he could come back next year too because he's said as much but haven't heard anything about what the expectations are for Caleb. I know everything is year to year for every player right now in college athletics but...
Are we expecting Caleb back next year?

I’m thinking just in terms of who I remember him playing with his freshman year….it’s been a long time
All his original teammates will be gone, and he might receive calls from schools closer to home, or with tournament expectations. We're not lookin at being very good next yr- unless Pike kills the portal. Better hope he loves Rutgers or the extra shot attempts he'll have next yr.
Caleb is the epitome of one who’d make an already good team much better, and a team with all the pieces in place over the top.
He would not make a weak team better imo.
I’d be surprised if Caleb is back. Four New Jersey winters is probably enough for a Florida guy.
I think Caleb is true Rutgers Scarlet Knight. He is a team guy and has what appears to be a strong relationship with Pike. I think he'll relish the opportunity to be the elder statesman and help bring the young guys along. I think he stays.
I'm not sure CM will play in the Association, but perhaps Europe in the Champions League? Or G-League.

Has anyone ever bought into what Pike wants more than Caleb? He has clearly bought in and dedicated himself into becoming an elite defender
I think he returns. As long as we have Paul, Caleb and Cliff, I’m optimistic that we’ll land 2-3 transfers who put up impressive stats at decent schools. Shooting guards and wing players are usually plentiful in the portal. This time we’ll have an ideal looking roster (opportunity to come in and be the “star”) for aspiring transfers and we’ll need ones in the positions of highest supply. We need those 3 back though. Transfers have to buy in that the foundation is there.
I hope Caleb returns. He is so outstanding on defense and runs the offense quite well. I would love to see Ron return also but I kind of doubt that might happen. They both are great guys and I think Caleb could really be a fine role guys for our young players. He is one of the best defensive players in the Big Ten and I hope he can win that award. If he doesn't he would have another shot at it.
