Parking Lot after the game

I waited a while to post this so we can discuss the game.

If you park in the lot next to the RAC, can you drive slowly after the game. People are walking out of the arena trying to get to cars. No need for people to feel endangered because of crazy drivers.

I was near the wooden bridge in the cross walk to get to the next parking lot and an SUV came quickly towards us. Someone walking in my direction said the person backed out quickly and almost hit a few people. This happens often enough.

It’s been fairly easy getting out after the games. We don’t need some getting hit by a car. And you can’t blame it on alcohol since they aren’t selling it anymore during games.

Rant over….

Be careful some people are real idiots. I’ve seen that before in that lot.

Same people who drive fast when the roads are bad and end up in a ditch unfortunately.

Its a catch 22 situation.People are walking to their cars in the center of aisles where drivers are trying to leave the parking lots.Yes.its chaos but their is no solution other than leaving games early or waiting until the parking lot empties out.

I think what people are saying is when you are driving use a little common sense and slow the f down.

Yellow lot people, don’t walk down the center of the green lot aisles oblivious to everything around you either. Other people are trying to get out of the green lot. Just walk to the side.it’s not hard.

You raise a good point. The problem is two-fold — some crazy drivers and some clueless pedestrians. Both need to be corrected.

People fly around the Green lot after every game.

I think it’s just a northeast/nj thing.

The random fan next to you would have no problem celebrating the game with you but also have no problem running you over 30 mins later in the parking lot.

Will second the fact of people just walking randomly through the green lot and not caring about where they are or what cars are pulling out.

That said, there are maniacs in that lot who don't slow down. I park in that lot and I try to respect the people walking(not necessarily reciprocated). Yesterday as I was waiting to let people pass me some ******* in a Denali pulled up to my left to try and pass me and just proceeded to not let people pass and trying to get to the exit as quickly as possible. Even when we were exiting the lot he didn't stop to let me go and just acted as if he had the right of way the entire time.

Its one of those situations where I completely lose it for people not ensuring others safety. Trust me I'm not trying to be a goody goody here as my initial thought was to get out of the car whipping his *** in front of everyone.

Watch your step, walk to the side, put your cell phone in your pocket. To assume it won't be pretty chaotic in the parking lot after a game is silly. Most folks hustle to get out after a game. That's not changing anytime soon. We've all had nightmare situations leaving sporting events. Both drivers and walkers need to pay attention.

Right, so if they don’t leave early they should wait until the people walking clear out more. The extra 10 minutes won’t kill them.

Green lot people, don’t blame pedestrians for your poor driving abilities and lack of impulse control. It’s not hard.

Just drive slower and be aware. I was in the cross walk at the back on the green lot leading to the bridge.
Stop for people in a cross walk.
