What is there to see?

Do you think he’s valuable and worthy of starting or not lol?

The past 2 years you’ve basically said we’re better without him but after last night it seems like you’ve changed your mind?
Lol no I haven’t changed my mind. I’ve said he’s overrated. Not that he’s a badAverage player/glue guy. And that when’s he’s out we don’t do worse than when he plays on average.

Like I said, I don’t make any judgements on one game.

I want him to do well. And I like the adjustments Pike has made of late.

There’s a major difference in arguing someone is overrated for 2 years vs. arguing someone doesn’t provide value and the team is better off without.

This whole time I thought you were trying to state your case over and over for the latter, but I’m honestly not sure anymore.

Based on those threads I posted can you see why myself (and almost everyone else it seems) interpreted it that way?

When we play well you confuse me - but hey we both want us to play well so that’s all that matters.

Haha yea we’ll there’s a lot more than 3 thread about him over the past 2 years it’s not a black and white thing.

I know a lot of people take some of my direct comments as being purposefully incendiary but that’s not ever my intern. It’s just shop talk.

Very much hoping we do better as a team by any means necessary

Don’t you know? He doesn’t say anything he means and doesn’t mean anything he says.

Whether its him or whoever has the ball, ball movement stops once 15 seconds elapses.

Once the clock gets to 12-15, it's always iso time. Too early for that.

two plays I did like were the Reiber lob to RHJ in the low post (I think it was RHJ) and the Mulcahy dish to Cliff for the 2nd half dunk.
I think Reiber hit Baker on that cut.

As to your other point, 20 assists on 27 made baskets suggest that you are missed a lot of good passing against Michigan. We had 57 FG attempts. We didn't go iso on 30 missed FG last night. Yes, sometimes a guy tries to "get his" but with three straight games of 20+ assists, I think the ball movement is greatly improved. Let's hope it continues.

Trumpet….that is a very good point and I did actually look at the box score (20 assists) before posting that, but that led me to question the legitimacy of the assist credits. Does passing to a guy who goes iso 5-10 seconds later count as an assist ? I don’t know but I think there’s likely some subjective home cooking with that stat. But I don’t know.

Obviously assists aren’t credited when the shooter is fouled and scores from the foul line, so Michigan wouldn’t have gotten as many assists from their better ball movement.

I also get that Michigan has a low post stud so there’s more reason for them to pass more to get him the ball. We don’t have that. We are a perimeter (iso) offense.

Eye-test though, I didn’t see as much purposeful ball movement as you did.

Geo was awesome last night. No question. His bounce was back and he was engaged. Vintage Geo. I was also impressed with the ball movement and player movement. They've been putting work in over the impromptu break. I don't care if Michigan was short handed or not. That is their problem. When we play with that effort and make some shots, the are an NCAA tourney team.
Yes very impressed with the movement off the ball. We ran as if we were a team with a game plan to win. If they play like this they are most certainly a ncaa tourney team. It’s really up to Ron and geo to ignite the fire in the team.
