Football GATOR BOWL THREAD: Rutgers versus Wake Forest

[Richie O]

It's never to early to start this, so with that being said, can I get an RRRRRRRRRRRRRRR

[Rutgersfan0515]

UUUUUUUU

[RUTRINI_rivals]

RRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!

[fbc1866]

UUUUUUUUUUUU!!!!

[mildone_rivals]

Ugh. Whose idea was it to hold a football game so early, forcing me to wake at such an ungodly hour?

[Scarlet_Scourge]

a few things are true about this game:

IF we win, it would be one of the biggest upsets in Rutgers history. Wake Forest is ranked #17 and been training hard for this game for weeks. We been training for a few days.

We were not supposed to be in this game, so we have nothing to lose and everything to gain, might as well go all out and see what happens!

Stadium looks empty on tv

Stadium looks empty on tv

yeah, but lots of scarlet shirts at least!

[AreYouNUTS]

If we had a month we would’ve had 30,000 here. Oh and @rutgersal is really drunk!

Stadium looks empty on tv

Wow, more than half empty.

Be loud and have fun

[RUTRINI_rivals]

Long day of drinking! Have fun Nuts!

Wow, more than half empty.

I’d think the local Jacksonville community would support the game better.

Wake doesn’t have many fans

[SKnight00]

Yeesh with the offsides

[Ronnie_B]

Jesus Christ, next time give our lineman decaf before the game.

[koleszar]

Jesus Christ 3 offsides penalties on the defense in the 1st drive.

[rutgersguy1_rivals]

Rust showing with the offsides penalties.

[koleszar]

Our Dline players simply suck. Greg playing it close to the vest with no blitzes isn't helping. His one blitz we got to the QB. So much for letting it fly with nothing to lose.

[Ronnie_B]

That was fun

[KnightFan]

Rust showing with the offsides penalties

unfortunately, rust showing when we dont have penalties either

We really aren’t looking good at all

[Danprusa_4]

Haha that was great let’s do it again! Haha

[RUTRINI_rivals]

Just glad to see our boys playing...Free Football!

[czxqa]

They should settle down now that they've got a drive under their belt. I hope.

[Salvi's Headband]

Hopefully we can make some adjustments and knock off the rust but I fear a blowout is imminent.

[Proud NJ Sports Fan]

Pitch and catch without worry of any pressure on the QB

[Ronnie_B]

I almost don't care if we win, I just don't want to give that douchebag Politi any more reason to be smug. Keep this close man.

[ScarletDave]

Have to go even with them and match. Our D will be very overmatched

[CERU00]

What is this delightful sound that i hear? Is that the sound of a band? Do they not have a dj?

[Danprusa_4]

Glad our young players are going to get quite the teaching today.

[sct1111]

DLine is worthless.

[SouthJerseyRU]

[BigEastPhil]

Slaughter City begins. !

[Rufaninga]

Not a surprise that we started with penalties & have shown rust on this first drive.

Hoping the offense can muster up a good drive here.

[Pils86]

Aren't defenders allowed to go over the line and back, and it is only offsides if the offensive player jumped thinking he was going to be hit? Both times our guys got back but the OL stood and started pointing, isn't that a false start?

[mildone_rivals]

Let the team settle down a bit. Then we’ll see where we’re really at.

[Proud NJ Sports Fan]

DLine is worthless.

Undersized

[ashokan]

Glad our young players are going to get quite the teaching today.

RU's DL isn't a strength but its also true that WF's OL is pretty good

[ScarletDave]

Freshman vs the ACC runner ups. Fun

[RUboston]

I hope this isn't a case of beware of what you wish for...
