He hasn’t won a bowl game at scUM if I remember correctly. If I were him I’d be keeping the NFL options open seeing this was as complete of a team as he’s had and they got beat by a TCU team that no one gave a chance.

As competitive as the Harbaugh family is, I'm sure it bothers him regularly that his brother has won a Super Bowl and he hasn't . I think he'll find his way back to the NFL at some point soon.

With NIL...I can see him leaving for part 2 NFL. I have an inkling he wants to stay and win a bowl game.

Not sure how his contract is at M, but I know he took a bit of a haircut two years ago.

He may get his name floated in NFL openings so he gets his money back and then some given the recent success.

He'd be a fool to come to Denver or anywhere else.

He's a quarky guy that, IMO, runs thin in an NFL locker room - especially when running short on success.

Like someone mentioned above, he's a college guy.

Further, he's a Michigan man.

He went through the interview process last year with the Vikings and now floating his name for Denver. I think he got a raise out of it last year. Does he have the same agent as KF?? He has been very successful at both levels, but I agree he seems more like a college coach.

Time running out. He’s closing in on 60.

IF Harbaugh is serious about taking an NFL gig, he will do it differently this time. He will have a “done deal” contract negotiated behind the scenes rather than letting the interview process play out publicly then NOT get an offer- like what happened with the Vikings last year.

With that said, I don’t see him leaving for the NFL. He sits on top of the world at Michigan right now.

Is there draft compensation for taking a coach from another NFL team?
If coach didn’t finish out contract , there can sometimes be compensation between teams. Don’t think it has to be draft capital

Harbaugh's last two seasons: 25-3 overall, 17-1 in B1G games...5-1 against OSU, PSU, MSU...first two wins in The Game (vs. Ohio State)...two lopsided B1G championship victories...two CFP appearances...will likely finish 2022 ranked No. 3 nationally and will likely open 2023 as a Top 5 team expected to win the B1G and advance to a third straight CFP appearance.

I think he also gave away more than $1 million in bonus money at the end of last year to UM athletics staff who saw their pay cut due to COVID-related cutbacks in the UM athletic department.

I agree 100 percent, he's a college guy and any college program would be darn lucky to have him. He's also currently the only head coach in the world to have led teams to both a Super Bowl and the CFP...so he's also a NFL guy with a track record of success.

Will he ever win a CFP? Who knows. But if he stays at UM he'll have plenty of chances thanks to the expansion plan to 12 teams.

Does he win pretty much everywhere he coaches? Yep.

Does he win bowl games? The record says no...but he's also usually not playing in the Yankee Stadium Classic or the Mayo Bowl.

SI claiming Mich and Jim under investigation. This could get interesting.
