Its a terrible precedent and i have a feeling its going to bite the Big East later
I agree. Make up the games. Reschedule them which shouldn’t be difficult.
The shame is that St John’s needs the game more than Seton Hall and St John’s in effect gets penalized
I think most if not all of the 32 conferences have these forfeit rules for conference games in place for 2021-22. If you are a bad team and playing one of the top teams, you have chance at a free conference win over them, most schools aren't refusing it to play the game later.

Vaccinated spread significantly less. More careful = less likely to spread. This is simple stuff.

it is a tough decision everyone has to make. Believe me. I feel for them. Winter athlete comes home from school for a few days before going back to their sport. If they go out on New Years or a big gathering for Xmas they are running a huge risk of not participating when they get back. They haven’t seen high school buddies since summer.

Did you see a source that said she tested positive? I thought Whoopi tested negative but was temporarily quarantining because she was exposed to someone who tested positive. Maybe I missed an update on her condition though.

I'm not going to get political on this thread, but folks need to brace themselves for a LOT of cancelled games and general inconvenience over Covid issues this winter. England is thinking hard about cancelling soccer matches over the holidays. The NFL and NBA are in a terrible bind and NCAA sports are also affected. It's going to be another hard time. Since it's the holidays, goodwill to all. Stay healthy. Stay patient. Stay sane.
You aren’t be logical. There are rules and guidelines set in place. The arguement if the rules set in place are overboard is irrelevant. If you are an athlete and you want to play you have choices. It is as simple as that.
If SHU players wore masks and social distanced they would be playing games. End of story.
