I don't know if this was brought up in one of the other threads, but around the time Purdue went up by 10 in the second half, Stefanovic turned to the fans in 102 and 103 and taunted us with a silly grin on his face as he ran back up the floor. It made the win even sweeter, if that's possible! My only regret was that the storming of the court was so quick and thorough that we didn't have a chance to taunt him individually at the end. I think he got the message anyway

Saw both of these on the broadcast. Ivey appeared to be dropping F bombs after the dunk toward thr student section.

They were all laughing when Edey came off and was getting booed.

Its all part of the game and competition. But, we own them...so they can take the L and be quiet.

I’ve never seen someone get elbowed in the face with zero consequences from the officials as many times as Paul Mulcahy.

Ah, the guy seemed likely a hard competitor. So he’s the bad guy on the other team, but it’s all just good competitive fun when you calm down and stop calling people aholes. And, yes, it makes things more fun when you win.

Others may have commented in other threads but there's a stretch in the 2nd half where Caleb almost single-handedly kept RU in the game as they climbed out of the 10 point deficit. Harper Jr doesn't get the opportunity to deliver the late game heroics in the last 3-4 possessions without McConnell's efforts during the few minutes prior. Very disruptive on defense, a couple of smooth jumpers, he simply elevated his game when the team needed it most.

To be fair, I don’t think he was smiling that he knocked out Cliff out, at least I hope not for the sake of his humanity, but more so because it sounded like the students had a pretty good “f you Edey” chant going. One of his teammates probably said something to him along the lines of “told you we’re in a hostile place”. Again, I hope it was more that rather than him finding joy in an opponent’s neck injury.

Mentioned this in the refs thread, but my ticketmate yelled FU and flipped him the bird when he did that. I know that might not sound that unusual, but this particular friend of mine is the most mild mannered nice guy you could imagine, so our group was completely floored - and loved it! On the other hand, none of my friends was surprised a few minutes earlier, after a missed foul call, when I screamed, "c'mon ref, get off your knees, you're blowin' the game!"
