Came up huge last night especially down the stretch. Down 6 hits 2 FT’s then two near steals (one which he got pushed off on could have been a foul on Steponavich) led to an air ball / shot clock violation followed by the tear drop in the paint. Great game and hopefully just the start for him.

RHJ was the man all around but Cliff was a force, Paul dished well and handled the ball, Mag played hard and all around good game. Lots of good play last night.

I don’t disagree because I’m a Defense guy too but RHJ plays a great D, grabbed some huge rebounds amongst the trees and still put up 30 pts. Legendary game for him. That’s why it’s a team sport. Team was +11 or so with Cliff on the floor. Great team effort.

Ron will get the sport center and cnn interview. The star of the game was Caleb, and to a lesser extent Mag.

Bottling up Ivey and Stefanovic was a must for this game to even be a game.
Mag has the Akwasi Yeboah starter pack. He's what I thought Aundre Hyatt would be. Really want to see it consistently.

Caleb was fantastic last night. Exactly what I thought he could be.

Please no.....Ron got us some big rebounds, but he got the night off defensively. Caleb was asked to chase Stefanovich all over the court and then Ivey when he became a problem, Ron guarded the weakest perimeter player all game. Please don't compare what Caleb did with what Ron did on the defensive end.

Was Caleb one of the two guys that trapped Ivey late? (without fouling) which lead to the travel. Such a huge play.

Caleb played a terrific game and played within his limitations which is critical to his success. When he starts to do things he’s not capable of is when his play suffers.

No what? Agree he got the easier assignment because we needed him to put up 30. That’s why it’s a team game. In other games he has taken the tough assignment including last year. I gave props to everyone but if you can’t recognize RHJ was the man last night then I’ll stop reading.

No but he did double down on Williams on his play which was also a huge stop. Announcer said near the end “McConnell blowing up all of Purdue’s plays.”

I don't know how you watch that game and NOT conclude that Harper was the "star" of the game. He scored 30 out of our 70 points and almost single-handedly kept us in the game with his scoring in both the 1st and 2nd halves. Not to mention he hit the most miraculous shot in the history of Rutgers basketball.

Do we win without the contributions of McConnell and Mag? No.

But the "star" of this game was indisputedly Ron Harper, Jr.

The defense kept us in the game. We agree to disagree here.

Ron was fantastic shooting the ball. I loved that he looks for others while penetrating. He had some big rebounds. He was very good offensively.
