Had no faith in RU to seal the deal... we .might have discussed in the lengthy game thread, did not read that yet

he
predicted we would lose by double digits when we were down 6 at the 2:57 mark

…agree but he made a fool of himself tonight
well, he just probably figured that we would not keep hitting the shots at the end, have to foul, etc....if you start out down those six points, you can see how you can lose by 10, when you have to foul

thing is, we hit the shots to stay within those six points, or better...had we clanked even just two in a row, you could see that happening...

that said, HE should not be saying that on TV

I think Bardo is pretty good and to be honest a lot of us thought this one was going double digits at one point.
as I said, you can see how a six point deficit can expand to double digits when time is running out, so that we agree

the announcers job is to make the game as interesting as possible, and this game needed little help

typically they would say, stay tuned we have a real barn-burner going here

which makes Bardo's comment not typical

Love Bardo. He was just calling it how he saw it. He has always been more than fair to RU.
I agreed with Bardos assessment at half tbh. I haven't seen us shoot that well all year and didn't know if we keep it up in the second half. Glad we were wrong!

it was a jerk comment. I like the guy usually but the other studio people were giving props to RU and the game in general.

I like Bardo, and in general I like that the Big Ten Network guys seem unafraid to call it as they see it even though sometimes that will offend someone. He was wrong this time.

Maybe he had the Purdue and the spread?
I think he saw the Illinois game (the team he played for back when). Also, he has
high regard for Geo, so that, combined with our uneven play to that point made
his prediction valid in his mind. He gets a pass for that

I thought it was a doosh thing of him to say, high on RU in the past or not...and he gave props in one of Katz' post-game behind-the-scenes twitter comments.... still love him eating crow!
