I predict Cliff will have 2 fouls called on him in no time (à la Myles last year)

I only hope that Pike gets a technical for arguing a **** call. Throw a chair or something! Don’t let the Refs think they can call non- fouls, which In reality they can. Just, at least let them know you don’t like it!

Illinois 72 Rutgers 55

Cliff will be in foul trouble early. I only hope he’s not thrown around like a rag doll. I expect to see Reiber tomorrow also since I think Agee is too small.

Lets hope not. Staff needs to tell him to keep verticality and not lean or go for shot fakes. Long day if hes out for long periods of time. I think Agee is bigger weight and strength wise to present a more physical matchup than Reiber but feel like we will throw multiple looks at him ala Garza last year.

Man, getting a win here would almost put us back to the expected trajectory for this season. Just as exciting would be the extra juice at the RAC for Purdue.

RU wins in OT, 78-77.

We really only came out to play 1 of 7 so who knows what team we will get. Gut says L, hoping for W of course.

I think we match up well against them except for Center. Key is Pike having a strategy like double teaming him when ball goes inside and a strategy that attempts to get Cockburn in foul trouble such as set plays for Harper to drive to basket. We need Cliff to stay out of trouble. There is no one on our side that can defend against KC. Pike may use a risky strategy that he used last year with MJ that is not to play Cliff at the start to avoid early fouls. ?? Aside from all this, I think we play a good game and have a shot to win. I’m going RU 66-64

Sounds like Curbelo is definitely out. Still no definitive word on Geo. Backup to Cockburn is not very good according to analyst at 247. Maybe we can make hay for the minutes the backup is playing. 247 also says that Illinois is TO prone. Let’s hope we don’t get our favorite Ref!

Frazier is also a bit banged up.

Line is out at RU +8, O/U 133.5. That's an opening line equating to approximately 71-63.
