Um, not sure about that
And just as an addendum, im a huge pike fan (albeit concerned) but if he went 3-27 with the roster we currently have in place for next year, there is no doubt he would be fired and deservedly so.

Ok, we disagree. The way they played to get the 17 point lead and the past history of the returning guys makes me believe in a "turnaround". And if they get it together, it wouldn't be a miracle, just continued development.
Okay, we disagree on a lot here. We shall see.

If a team gets a 17-point lead, we can say that it is capable of having a lot of success on offense and defense for a period of time. If it then loses the game, we have to say it is capable of being really bad in both. The glass has water in it, but it is less than half-full. All we can say about the 17-point lead is that the team has the potential to do better -- certainly getting a 17-point lead is preferable to trailing all game long. What it needs is mental and physical stamina. Some teams can develop this -- some can't. We'll have to see.

Can we find out WHY they transferred?

Was it team chemistry? Lack of Offense? Something else?

WHAT?

Not sure why you are asking the Seton Hall Troll who started this poll.

EO - I think his GF was in Oregon and his handlers also got in his ear. He likely also had issues with Pike bringing Yeborah in.

MJ - you really asking why on this one? Pretty easy to figure out that UCLA was closer to home and offers a really good engineering grad program option.

JY - just a guess that it was part chemistry and part opportunity. If I recall JY was exploring his pro options and when they didn't pan out, he returned for a 6th year.....might have felt Oregon would give him better future exposure towards a potential pro career.....might have also felt that at RU he would not have the chemistry nor be the main guy due to Geo and Ron returning.

You don’t know why any of them left. 😆

Hate to break it to many of you….pike is going nowhere! This isn’t UK or KU basketball…we are also the AD that gave a WBB coach a 5 year extension when she should have retired so that should offer some context!
LOL!

Wonder if EO stayed if Yeborah would have been brought in.

Regarless, what about Mathis?

I lived in Long Beach area for 5 decades. I don't think Myles decision was harsh or difficult to understand. LB Poly produces some talented athletes....would be nice to parlay the Myles connection (he graduated from RU).

As for Young, his brother also played for Oregon...and Knight has DEEP pockets.

The program looks hapless and hopeless right now.

Turn the keys over to Knight?

Now sure what is funnier the fact that you want to fire pikiell or give knight the keys.

Any one who knows about building anything, knows that the way up is not a straight line. it could be a business, a program, your kids... there will be ups and downs. there will be more bad losses this year. if you cant handle that and cant control your emotions i recommend you stop watching to save yourself the pain.

If we have a bad season (which we will) and Pike doesn’t turn around recruiting by the end of the year (he won’t) then he should be let go at the end of the season.

Hobbs won’t do it though because he’s clueless.

Couldn’t agree more. Next year if football takes a likely step back will these folks be posting fire Greg polls?

I do not think he should be fired. He has earned that. But today is a humongous embarrassment against an average opponent on the heels of what already has happened. Team is sleepwalking thru the season with the exception of the Clemson aberration.

This . You’re totally right . Pike has equity in the bank here . But he’s got an equity loan at a high interest rate right now.
