NO! Not one of those threads. I didn't realize he was playing for LaSalle this year. Looks like he comes off the bench for a familiar role. 42 mins in 4 games and a handful of points and bounds.
Made a nice strong post then missed the jam lol. Looks like a beast out there but just still not able to make it work.
Anywho. Glad he's playing and wishing him well.

He may have been the biggest waste of a 6'9 250lb body I've ever seen on a basketball court

He's the player who, when he walks off the team bus, anyone unfamiliar with the team would think this guy is one of the stars

Bannon ruined Tenys. He tried to turn him into a banger, which was not his game. Tenys was a classic high-post center. Fine passer. Nice shot. Bannon tried to turn him into a low-post center. Still get mad when I think about it.
The first game he played for us was just about his best
Great passing and pretty good scoring touch that night

I believe douc was a top 20 center in his class that came out early sorta like Jayden jones…
not sure of position ranking but a 4 star. The first miss, but this one gets a pass based on the hype and body and potential. Doesn't mean he wasn't a great kid who stayed and supported team when writing was on the wall.

I met LaSalle Coach Ashley at my friends house during the summer. We spoke for a while and he seems to be a great guy. He said Duke would have a role on the team and I'm glad to see he is getting some time so far.

I was at that game at the RAC vs a traveling team of former college players. I was excited about Tenys and his scoring abilities.

But like you say, that game was his highlight reel at RU.

Bannon was a bad coach in many ways.

Agree completely on this. Tenys could play. Probably played during the wrong era.

What a stupid and needless post.
If you took the population of 6'9" males, already a small sample, then ranked them by athletic ability there would likely be a Belle Curve and posts like the one mentioning a "waste" just do not take that into account. They seem to think that our players need be in that positive standard deviation part of the curve when they are much more likely NOT up there.

The problem is that some recruiting service put him there with a four-star ranking when he arrived. Re-classifying didn't do him any favors, but that's all hindsight now. He's a good guy and I hope he does well in life.

Or on the line for the football team or a tight end. :CHOP:
if we used a QB who could pass.. like Simon.. sad thing about the disuse of the TE spot for passes is that even Vedral should be able to throw to the TE over the middle where a blitzing LB should be.
