What’s the point of a message board if we are all calm?
To the worst team in the Big East no we can’t the problem are too numerous and Pikes stubbornness to play his guys that are hurting the team just continues to amaze me
While there’s definitely too many on this board that bask in self-loathing, I don’t think the negativity is centered strictly around the DePaul loss. It’s a combination of the warning signs we’ve seen across the first 4 games and subpar recruiting that suggests we’ll continue to struggle to address the deficiencies we’ve seen so far on the court
I seem to recall a home loss to St Peter's when the team had James Bailey. Can only imagine what a board would have been like then.

5 win team last yr with 7 scholarship players, new coach and mostly new guys vs our NCAA veterans yeah NOTHING to panic about.
Our guys weren't even standing under the basket at times. Saw our guys jogging back and forth. And ZERO defensive rebounds for our star center. You understand that if next year looks like a wash, he could easily transfer to another school (like Oregon!), right?

Does it not give you pause that you justify how bad DePaul is based on last year’s record… while also noting in the same post that they have a new coach and mostly new players?

- we don't box out well....two or three Rutgers players under the basket after a bad shot and a DePaul player gets the rebound.
- We need to go to the basket more to pickup easy foul shot points.
- Less one-on-one playground shooting displays....easier to put back rebounds when moving the defense.
- we need more intense defense throughout the game, not just we need to score points coming from behind

Last year Nebraska had a 30 point lead on us with 5 minutes left.

Last year we had one of the best defensive centers in the nation, if you don't believe it ask any opposing coach.
We had one of the best defensive guards in the nation, and also one of the fastest.
On top of Geo, Ron and Paul.
We were poorly coached for the most part

I just want us to run some offensive set that doesn't involve that idiotic ball screen 25 feet from the basket. How did the game of basketball flourish all these decades without doing that? Now it seems to be obligatory for every team to do it.
