Why the space in-between "De" and "Paul" @bac2therac ? Looks so bizarre, ha. And you did it twice so a one-time typo is no excuse!!

Sincerely,

We struggled with three cupcakes. I hope I am wrong, but I don’t think we can keep this close.

I hope I’m wrong but I’m just not getting a good feeling so far from the team. Too many guys are off and I just don’t see the cohesiveness.

OOC so far are smaller teams that gave it their all to beat a big bad B1G team. I also think there was a little pressure with many players playing at home.

I like the matchup of a team like us, probably not playing as hard, and is being on the road.

DePaul has scored over 90 points in each of their 2 games, so my guess is that they like to play at a fast pace.

Interestingly, they only led Coppin State by 1 point at the half, then blew them out in the second half. Coppin State had played Loyola Chicago the night before, so in addition to being an inferior team they were also gassed in that second half against DePaul.

I think we’ll enjoy running with them, but they appear to have better shooters, so we’ll have to blanket them on the perimeter and box out so they get few second chance points.

We’re taking a step up from the teams we’ve played so far, but DePaul is taking two steps up against us, so I think this will be a close game, especially with DePaul at home.

RU wins a squeaker, 75-74.

Scoring points for DePaul depends on 2 things.

Turnovers and total possession time from DePaul....

Will Mulcahy, Baker, Caleb and others have a bunch of turnovers (14 or more as a team)??

How quickly will DePaul take shots....can you score against DePaul if you make them play defense for 24 to 30 seconds.....will DePaul get impatient if they don't score a bunch of points and get easy baskets.

I am not sure DePaul can play smart defense without fouling and RU with their improved FT shooting, slows the tempo down by getting to the FT line, which will allow them to set up their defense.

RU should win by 6 to 10 points.....I don't see a path for DePaul unless RU has a bunch of turnovers.

I didn’t realize Brandon Johnson transferred there from Minnesota. He had at least one really good game against us last year. Would have actually been a nice piece for us.

I want to pick RU in this one but the 3 games we played against inferior opponents won’t let me.

I think we can score mid 60s. Hmm, so what would DePaul have to do to beat us?

DePaul 67- RU 60. We are not beating any P5 school the way we've played the first 3 games. Hopefully we snap out of it tonight, but with 1 day of prep, I don't think so.
Yeah, the one day of prep while also going on the road (where we really haven't been in 2 years, given no fans last year) definitely have me concerned.
