Also, future opponent Clemson in tight battle with Bryant. Peter Kiss who must be in his 10th year of college with 17 in the first half for Bryant.
Didn't you know that the NCAA passed a rule that players have as much eligibility as they want to have? No limits, except, you must stop playing when you become a grandfather.

Best of Luck,
Groz

No excuses. Illinois led by 12 in the second half and did not play smart at all. They didn't deserve to win.

Big 10 tonight looks terrible and easily beatable. Those of you killing us after 2 games would be happy to hear other teams are struggling early. Illinois without Kofi are a shell of themselves. Hawkins , Pike’s attempted recruit did some nice things but he is not Kofi and not Giorgi either. If Frazier doesn’t hit shots they might have scored under 50.
Wisconsin is also playing without Davis but Davison and Tyler Kohl are not going to scare anyone. They are slow and unathletic .
Penn State got blown out in second half at UMASS so they will struggle. UMASS game for us just got harder .
Lots of teams really struggling , not a ton of talent . I think from the early returns , Big 10 will be down. Michigan and Purdue will likely be up top but after that it is wide open fir us to get our sea legs.
I agree with you, Michigan and Purdue look to be the best but I think even they will not meet expectations. Then it might just be a free-fall-all with a large bunch of mediocre-good teams.

Who knows? Maybe after the league crapped the bed in the NCAA tournament last year, they will surprise this year. It just seems several of the league teams are relatively slow and unathletic again, which has not proven to be a recipe for success in March.

Wisconsin vs. Providence was a tough watch. Not much offense being generated against pretty slow defenses. If those teams can sniff the bubble then so can Rutgers.

Wisconsin’s leading scorer didn’t play and of course neither did Kofi for Illinois. Still, both teams should win

Creighton will hammer Nebraska. SHU will put up a fight vs Michigan but ultimately lose on the road.

4 of our out of conference opponents will likely be either Quad 1 or Quad 2 . Seton Hall will be Quad 1 and Clemson , likely a Quad 2, and DePaul and Umass Quad 2 because road games. Win all 4 and our Kenpom and Quad numbers will shoot way up. All games will be a challenge but we have a decent chance in all the games. Pike has to get his lineup and minutes allocated better and we have to start shooting better and hopefully that starts tonight

I see Dickinson still runs down the floor like he’s one of those tall inflatable air things at a gas station.

Seton hall looks very good…. Theyre gonna blow our doors off. Not only are they long but also super athletic and can shoot

Was thinking the same thing. We are not close to them right now. Much quicker,
Better defensively, more athletic and better shooters. Hoping the rivalry keeps it close.

Dickinson just got straight up lifted and body slammed and no foul was called.

Terrence Williams misses the free throw he’s trying to make and then makes the free throw he’s trying to miss to end the game.

What a difference a week makes. Last week Jerry Carino was picking us to go 22-9. 3 underwhelming wins by RU and bloodbath for the Big 10 just made our path to an NCAA berth a helluva lot more iffy.

Seton hall is for certain gonna be a Quad 1 game for us now, massive resume builder if we win, not much harm in a loss except to our pride of course

If the game was played this weekend, yes.

Their shot selection was puzzling at times last night but Willard has assembled a big, talented and deep squad.

Willard's teams are better when it's an ensemble effort than when he has one high-usage guy (Whitehead, Powell as a SR, Mamu)
