Brohm is vastly underrated as an offensive coach. I thought their offense would be nothing losing Rondale Moore but he's able to plug and play players in with ease.

On every level Zap. Everything from the equipment guys on up.

I was told from someone who would know that we had no idea what we were in for in this league.

You can’t really point to one area and say we are close to our now peers.

The more you compare our coaching and leadership to other B1G teams, the more you see how antiquated our thought leadership is at Rutgers. That said, if we made better hirings and had a plan to bring in intellectuals and savvy forward thinking coaches & leaders, we could change the culture.. Schiano is not the answer. He is simply an average coach.

I agree with you but something had to be said about the talent to run those philosophies. We don’t do anything on offense and tire our defense all game

Why don’t you find another team then? You are a dick on every level with your criticism and should go find a new team rather than sticking around

He plays in the West where 8-4 can win you the division so he'll always have an easier path. His career record at Purdue is 24-28 but he's a great coach and someone we should yearn for according to our fans. SMH

bell is one of the best WRs in the country and he has a QB who Can get him the ball in stride and with zip on the ball. Their offense thrives as a result and keeps their defense fresh.
They also play with a no lose coach philosophy which is my largest argument with our staff.

Take a breath junior. I said Schiano is average and we deserve much better at Rutgers. If you want to get rid of fans because they don't simply rely on having blind faith in a Jersey guy with a bad resume, we'll have no caring, intelligent fans left.

schiano is too stubborn. He chose his starting qb and that’s it. Not gonna make a change even though wimsatt is 5000x better

Agree that wimsatt most likely has more potential but what can he do behind this line? We just don’t know and is it worth it to play him to burn a redshirt at this stage? Today would have been a waste.

you need two more wins for a bowl game..do you unleash him for Indiana and go for it while still preserving the red shirt? Vedral is not the answer.

This is the day and thread when all the half-*** fans and secret haters of the current coach start wailing and gnashing their teeth. It's really year 1 in a tremendous rebuild. Let us not forget, this coach was left with a patchwork OL, patched together with former DL. Take out one of our more active DL (Tverdov), and recipe for disaster. But Brohm is a better coach because in his 5th year he is doing sort of a decent job. 🎃

Yes and no but unfortunately we've seen this movie before. Schiano always has pathetic offenses. Ten years in the first time around he had some unbelievably bad offenses and could not use the excuse of inheriting a mess. People made excuses then and they're making excuses now but the pattern is clear.

I rather get rid of you and your non stop attacks on schiano and the staff. They are year 2 of a rebuild and have a top recruiting class compared to the hot garbage we saw from ash and then flood. This doesn’t happen overnight but look at all the coaches we did bring in who are very good based on past resumes. To me the only one k question is Robb smith..never liked him.

I just can’t stand any posts you make

Yes but he would have been destroyed this game. It's by far the best defense in the B1G and the stats say it's not even close #2. He was right to let Vedral, Simon and Synder be the canon fodder for this game.

Yeah. The truth hurts. Eventually it'll be obvious to you, but right now you're burying it in a place where it doesn't cause you discomfort.

Brohm might be getting it together after going 7-6 his fist season at Purdue (2017) 6-7 in 2018 ,4-8 in 2019 and 2-4 last year..(I'm sure the RU fan base wouldn't be complaning about Jeff having W-L records in 2018 and 2019 that were worse than his 7-6 start.
But even though his Boilermakers upset MSU, still needs to prove more before making LIKE he deserves COY consideration.
I remember one HC that was getting the same type praise after his Illinois team beat the Nits, then lost to RU and the praise RU's QB was getting made him look like a Heisman candidate.
Today it's the scrap heap for him from many of those who praised him last week

It’s amazing how people blow with the wind. Brohm is and has been known as a very good offensive coach. The fact is that they haven’t had a winning record since his 1st year as HC. He had a good defensive team his 1st year and he has good defensive team this year which is making a difference. Brohm was actually considered to be on a bit of the hot seat coming into this year, now suddenly he is the hot coach again, it’s really funny in a lot of ways.

We can’t run an offense.
Our D front 4 can’t sniff a sack.
We are collectively so slow we can’t cover receivers.

and this has nothing to do with coaching? Maybe run an offense you can run (ie, Gavin??!)

Greg is 20000% too stubborn to change anything

yes and put him in a position to lose and develop bad habits because of the poor OL RU has right now.
Putting him in now won't help RU win, but will help make him lose a little confidence in himself because of not being to play his best because of the OL's inability to protect him.
