In 30+ years of following this program I’ve never seen anything like it.

Presale for single-game tickets began today and there’s not a seat to be had in the 200 level for any of the many cupcake games - not Lafayette, not Maine, not Central Connecticut.

Every Big Ten game will easily sell out well in advance as none have more than a few hundreds seats left. Even many of the paycheck games will likely sell out which is completely unheard of since the RAC opened.

I know Steve mentioned it recently but seeing the seating charts was jarring.

Tickets go on sale to the general public tomorrow.

Local, not sure 1,500 are set aside for students during Christmas break.

That’s because 300 level buyers, 2 minutes after tip-off, descend into the 200 level seats that are unoccupied.

My philosophy now is if I come to a game I want great seats. Disagree with second statement. I’ve sat in the 300 seats, most memorably on the 1990 nit quarterfinal against penn state.
BTW, an awesome game although we lost.

Your’re not buying them for Lehigh. You are buying them for conference games, seton hall and any other big games that pop up on the schedule where tickets will be near impossible to get. Possibly buying them to support the program or lock in chance at getting first dibs on tournaments.

Also anyone who is saying “try selling out 53k” is just an a-hole. What rutgers is doing is a huge accomplishment and someone who obviously doesn’t understand rutgers basketball history.

The other thing worth noting is how inexpensive single-game basketball tickets are compared to football. $12 for non-conference (besides Clemson), $15 for weeknight Big Ten games and $25 for weekend Big Ten games.

I know they often pull stunts like that and wouldn't be surprised if that's the case again but there doesn't seem to be a need to. do that this year.

Football end zone pricing is too high

Its a factor on why the end zone seats have been mostly empty this season

For the guy who said he would never buy season tickets and said why am I paying money for nosebleed for Lehigh? Obviously you are not much of a true Rutgers fan. Most with season tickets have been loyal fans for years. I have been attending games since 1971 and have followed the team since Lloyd & Valvano in the 60's. For those of us who have lived & died with the team through the Littlepage and Jordan years this is so special. Pikiell has made this become reality. If you want up close seats you should have bought season tickets a long time ago.

I would love to see a packed RAC, but this has to be one of those stunts. People aren’t clamoring for RU tix and there is no buzz other than for those close to the program. I use fellow RU grads that I know that are bandwagoners as my litmus test. RU bball is off the radar until the games start.

If you look at website for a game. Let’s say there’s 13 rows in 300s. Look at a section and if you only see seats available for almost the whole row like row 7 or 8, then, yes rows 9-13 just haven’t been made available for sale. For example see section 305 for Clemson.
However, if you check the Michigan and MSU games. It’s clear there’s less than 500 single tickets left. I expect both of these to sell out sometime before the season even starts.
It’s also clear RU is pushing for a sell out to every game this year and I think they’ll get it. $10 seats to 300 level for the first few games and naturally selling out Michigan and MSU before the season is going to likely make this all a reality.
Also, only chance at 200 level seats is through season tickets.
Get your seats now everyone!! Season tickets, Flex plans, single tickets… let’s go!!

Don’t forget, season ticketholders get extra FREE tickets for the NJIT game. Just call the ticket office at 866-445-4678 to request them.

Your theory about the back rows of the 300 level seems very plausible. And I guess if there's a few 200 level seats left Rutgers would rather see if can sell those as season tickets before releasing them for individual game sale.

Would love to know how many of the ~6500 revenue seats are season tickets.
