Colin Kurdyla, a 4* in the class of 23 commits to RU. His brother Brady is a 4* in the 22 class heading to RU.

Their father and uncle both played at RU in the 90s.

Huge pick up. Kid was offered by everyone who’s anyone. A big fast middie who can shoot.

Recruiting is picking up that’s for sure.

Awesome news!

On another note my former housemates/friends have way too many kids playing college sports already. It's scary!!!

100%. We went from, and this isn't hyperbole, having a facility that I have seen high schools have that was better, to one of if not the best in the country. It's a massive boon and kids see the commitment when you build something like that. Now we need to finish it off with the field/stadium. Hopefully that gets done soon.

Awesome news. FYI, they also both play football at Bridgewater-Raritan -- Brady is the starting QB, and Colin is the star WR. Very athletic family.

Brady plays what is essentially the QB position in lacrosse- x attackman. Colin plays what is essentially the wr position- two way up and down middie.

The QB to x attackman is very natural. Kieran Mullins was a former QB and quintessential x.

quick story here about Colin, This past Saturday Bridgewater played Hillsboro in football. Hillsboro has the Thomas Amankwaa kid who just committed to us for football. Hillsboro was so concerned about him that they put Amankwaa on him all game. I will say this the Amankwaa kid is very athletic. At that game, there were a couple of BIg time college coaches there for Colin.

Colin is the Best Midfield prospect that we have gotten in the last 4 recruiting cycles. Big (6'3" 185) fast, can play and shoot with both hands, and is generally the best SS defender on the field. This is the type of complete middie that Brecht has been going after for years. Do not be surprised if he plays a significant amount early in his career.

Good analogy, Cali.

The Rodkin is fantastic...is a plus benefit to the guys on the team....trust me, it matters...it's first class

Loyola just completed a lockeroom rebuild in Ridley...and that building isn't that old...it's what you have to do if you want to play at a high level...Rutgers is fantastic...and so is Loyola's...just saw it this weekend

I'll be in NJ this coming weekend to watch my Spartans 😉...and to hang out with some of the lacrosse fellas

Guys...need some football Saturday advice...I'm coming into town this weekend to go to my first football game at Rutgers

I've been been to tons of lacrosse games, but never in for football...I've got my wife, my brother and my 85 year old parents with me...any parking tips and / or suggestions? Also, I'm looking for 2 seats if anyone has a couple for sale...the rest of my group has their tickets already sitting in the MSU section...but I'll sit wherever...and I promise to wear Rutgers lacrosse gear...and I'll be silent about my football fandom 😜

Any advice would be appreciated.

Thx

Been a while since I've jumped on...hope everyone is well

Are they related to the football Kurdyla Brothers?

They are related to the RU lacrosse Kurdyla bros., one of whom is their father. I am sure the football players are in the family but I don't recall how. Family is much better positioned to answer that.

I believe that they are unrelated to Kevin Kurdyla (I think this is who you all are referring to)

There is a ticket exchange on this site where you can buy tickets and Parking passes. You can also contact BB to see if he has any extras. I would also say that generally there are several people selling tickets at or near the stadium on the day of the game. Rutgers has Nightengale service for anyone who needs it, so if you get a pass far away to can have them drive your parents.
If you purchase Parking I would suggest Red, Greem Yellow or Blue as there are all reasonably close. Red is the Black top Adjacent to the stadium. Green is the lot in front of the Bubble. Yellow is the big lot in front of the practice fields and Blue is the lot next to Yurchak field. You may also be able to park across the street from the stadium in Johnson park, they have Game day of parking.

Hope this helps

That's a great spot and if you get there early enough you will be pretty close to the stadium. You have to be super excited about your team's start to the football season. How is Son #2 recovering? is he a full go for fall?

Is the team playing any scrimmages this fall with other teams? It looks like the women's team is scrimmaging Princeton and Nova this weekend.

MSU is ahead of schedule in their rebuild...the Dantonio era took MSU football to lofty heights, but he slowed his last few years and the roster was very light when Tucker took over...would not shock me if RU beats MSU...we will see

Long slow recovery for Joe...he's on track to play in 2022...no fall ball for him...lots of PT, leg strengthening, and running in the pool, heavy cardio bike...real running starts in November, agility and heavy cardio layered in as he builds for Jan 1...to say this has been difficult is an understatement...our fingers are crossed that he can make it back to form....Rutgers makes the trip to Loyola on 2/26...I hope I get to watch both boys play...thanks for asking...appreciate it
