No matter the team, fans shouldn’t really make a big deal about a late fill-in for an otherwise empty 13th scholarship. Not even sure why it even generated a thread here. It’s like the Mets signing Albert Almorra last winter.

Despite some who feel Seton Hall isn't a rival, I think what goes on with that program deserves to be discussed because they are the state rival.

Pretty much nailed it.

Smith is an active, fairly hard playing big man. Best contribution he can make at this point is as a rebounder and defender, but he has good athleticism & can finish around the rim.

IIRC, he's from Selma, Alabama. So, between that and being in Marianna, Florida at Chipola College he might go into culture shock in South Orange, NJ.
